Water leak from the bottom of washer

Hi friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that water is leaking from the bottom of your Frigidaire washer. There are many components that could cause a washer to leak the bellow (gasket), leak from drain hose, drain pump, or water valve. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend having a technician come out to diagnose and repair your appliance. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

We have a Whirlpool Duet Sport HT front loading washing machine. The unit has leaked large pools of water a few times without explanation. We can't find the source of the leak or a way to repeat...

Hello, First thing to do is remove the bottom panel on the machine. Do not do this if your machine is under warranty. After removeing the bottom panel you would then check the pump filter. You would unscrew the filter and check if there are any blockages in the pump itself. If you found no blockages then you would disconnect the drain lines that go to and from the pump and assure there are no blockages there as well. I have also seen on a duet where one of the struts will rip out of the outter tub and this causes a leak as well. You could also have a leak from the dispenser area as well if you had a blockage of soap in one of the lines of the dispenser. The best way to find out where your leak is coming from is leave off the bottom panel and run the machine and while its running watch if you see any leaks. This also means watching your washer machine run through the whole cycle which is not a very fun task but has to be done in order to find where the leak is coming from. You could also have some sediment in the pressure switch hose that attaches to the tub which would cause an excess amount of water to go into the tub which when the tub agitated it would throw the excess water over the sides of the inner drum. If you have any further questions message me back. Thanks Rick
this is the schematic to your machine click this link http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Whirlpool-Parts/Washer-Parts/Model-GHW9100LQ2/1198/0153200?searchedModel=GHW9100L&blt=11

Water is leaking from the bottom of the machine and will not fill up

Hello,

Your water leak can come from 3 areas:

1) drain hose on back of washer is coming off / splitting / getting loose

2) water pump is leaking (cracked?) or has a gasket that has deteriorated.

3) hose between tub and water pump has come off / split / became loose.

Since your washer isn't able to hold water, it makes it easy to remove the clothes, and lean the washer forward to see what is going on. Most washers' mechanicals can be acessed from either the bottom, or from the back via access panel. The water leaks are generally a pretty easy repair.

Whirlpool Duet washer leaking during clean washer cycle

the highest water fill cycle for your waher is the clean cycle.it will fill up with 2x the normal amount of water in this cycle than any other.look for a cut or wrinkle in your door boot(grey rubber outer ring that seals between door and boot)if you find one, only fix would be to replace door boot.also clean inner door glass that comes in contact with door boot ring, any hard water build up or sediment(dog, cat or human hair)will break the seal and allow it to leak.good luck

Bosch WFCM 3200 Front load washer leaking from bottom of machine

I would try pulling the machine away from the wall and taking the back panel off. Get yourself a torch and then settle down on the floor while the machine runs a short cycle and wait to find out for certain where the water is coming from and at what stage of the cycle the leak happens.

Safety notes: Turn the power off while removing or refitting the back panel. Keep your hands away from wires and terminals when the power is on, and keep your hands and hair well away from the drive belt while the machine is on!

Once you know where the water is coming from and when, it'll be a lot easier to know what to do about it.

Washer is leaking water at bottom

You should look at the machine's bottom first- try to find out from where water leaking from. In most cases it is the pump.In such a case it should be replaced. Good luck!
