Hi,

1. Check the spiral beneath the mag roller. The spiral is not a single piece. there is a joint in the edge (a lock). this may be worn out. You need to remove the mag roller to check this.

2. Check the grid of the main charger. Replace the main charger if required.

My machine don'y copy, I receive message:Now warning up. Ready to scan

Sir/Mam,
Have you had the developer and drum replaced recently, or does the screen say Replace PC Drum? There are certain house chores the copier does before "Ready to Copy" it is waiting for them to get done, so that equals "Please Wait". One big item is making sure the developer and toner are properly mixed inside the image unit underneath the drum or next to it depending on the series. Bizhub 350 printing blank copy

Does you machine say replace PC drum on the control panel if so need to have the drum developer replaced at the same time. The code is dealing with the image unit the drum is one part the developer section is the bottom part or the sensor at the bottom of the image unit is bad. If developer was replaced did that person use a vacuum clean if so then the static electricity from the vacuum clean destroyed the sensor. NEVER USE A VACUUM to remove old toner. Worse case the main board that the sensor feeds is bad. Also when (if the drum and developer where replace did that person clear the counter for developer and drum. Machine works on info from counters to set certain voltages on certain assy. If the counters are not cleared then the copier thinks there is old developer and old drum in the machine and sets voltages for those units when in reality there are new drum and developer . Also after the developer was replaced was the required F8 run. And no prints/fax or copies where made before the f8 was run. When replacing the developer and drum the fax line and the Ethernet cable need to be removed first even used F8 and counters are done in service mode.

How do I change the drum on a bizhub 3510

First ensure fax line and and network cable is disconnected (If no FAX or network dont worry) dont want any print jobs or faxs arriving before you run Developer and drum checks after replaceing both.. Second go to the service mode and clear the drum and developer counters touch end then power off the using main power switch left hand side rear. You will be replacing both do not just replace the drum. Ensure your drum comes with what is called a drum cleaning blade, along with your developer. Secondly open the right side door and remove the Image unit. Dissamabley the image unit four silver screws two per side. Then pull each side apart from the base and lift up. T change developer remove the 3 alummin screws fro the base top. Then dump the old developer DO NOT USE A VACUUM CLEANER THE STATIC ELECTRICITY WILL DESTROY THE SENSOR AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DEVELOPER UNIT!!!!!!!!!! Turn the gears on the side so that large roller that runs along th\e front of the developer unit turns downward. keep turing it unit all of the old developer is out. DO NOT USE WATER OR WET RAGS to cleanup use a brush. Add your new developer. One Bag only. Reassamable. Now for the Drum. Remove both side covers one side has small plasitic been so be careful. Reove drum remove three screws to remove old cleaning blade this section you can use a vacuum clean turn the gears to get the hold section clean. install the new cleaning blade and drum DO NOT TOUCH THE DRUM use only the side gears. Replace the SCTRON Grid and Charge Corona UNIT. REassaembly Image Unit.Then POwer up the machine, Enter service mode and run Fuction F8. Do not may copies or prints before this or you will have to buy new developer again.

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DO THIS?????? HAVE SERVICE TECH COME OUT AND DO THIS

The developer box does'nt keeps toner in it, is it probably because of already 'old developer' or do i need to add some developer...how much is developer? Mine is toshiba e45. Thanks a lot.

Hi
The developer life span is about 150.000 copies, then it should be replaced.
If the developer has not done 150.000 copies then there could be another problem.
The cost of the developer is about R1000.00. {in South Africa}
Please remember that the life span of the drum and drum cleaning blade is also 150.00 copies, so the developer, drum and cleaning blade should be replaced at the same time.

Regards
