Thanx!

Here is the spec for your Mobo then!

Supports Socket A AMD Duron, Athlon, and Athlon XP up to 2400+. NVIDIA nForce 220-D: NVIDIA IGP-64 north bridge and NVIDIA MCP-D south bridge. 200/266MHz front side bus. Integrated NVIDIA GeForce2 graphics core. Realtek® ALC650 audio module. 2 DIMMs up to 1.0GB of PC2100/1600 non ECC DDR memory support. 3 PCI slots, and 1 AGP 4X slot
As you can see you can get up one step on the CPU to an 2400 cpu, and you can raise the memory to 1GB if you want.

It depends on how big the ram and the hd is. the bigger the hd and ram the more expensive it is except for their transfer rates. if your planning on upgrading because of games, you will need atleast 7200 rpm for the hardisk which costs more than a typical one. but for all i know thats the default for a desktop. there are 10,000 rpm also which are more expensive than the bigger hd's. same with the RAM. you can check ebay for the price. but the price depends on the country you are in if your buying it from your place.

You can download the device drivers for your computer from the motherboard manufacturer's WEB site.
I cannot give you the link to the motherboard manufacturer's WEB site because youhave not provided me with the details of the make and model of your motherboard.

I can't install AUTOCAD 2009 in my windows XP computer. It asks to install direct 3D

Most probably your hardware ie graphic card do not support software requirements.

Autocad 2009 system requirements for Win XP.
32-bit AutoCAD 2009
Running under Windows XP:
•Microsoft Windows XP SP2 operating system
•Intel® Pentium® 4 processor or AMD Athlon®, 2.2 GHz or greater
or
Intel or AMD Dual Core processor, 1.6 GHz or greater
•1 GB RAM
•750 MB free hard disk space for installation
•1024x768 VGA with true color
•Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (SP1 or higher)
If you are using AutoCAD for 3D modeling, you should bump up your system as follows:
•Intel Pentium 4 processor or AMD Athlon, 3.0 GHz or greater
or
Intel or AMD Dual Core processor, 2.0 GHz or greater
•2 GB RAM or greater
•2 GB of additional free hard disk space
•1,280 x 1,024 32-bit color video display adapter (true color) 128 MB or greater, OpenGL or Direct3D capable workstation class graphics card.

THE INSTALL DISK WON'T WORK MY COMPUTER IS A WINDOWS XP VERSION 2002 SERVICE PACK 3 AMD ATHLON (TM) 64 PROCESSOR 300+ 1.81 GHz 1,00 GB OF RAM

If you want your installation disk for formatting your system, you can go for any other XP or Vista or Se7en OS Disk to format your computer other than your old XP disk. It will not cause any problem.

Hi,

We would need your computer make and model or your motherboard make and model....

...or...

Go to www.crucial.com and run their scan program. This will tell you about what type of RAM you have/need, how much it will hold, along with some other useful info on your system.

Thanks for using Fixya.
