Soap dispenser drawer jammed

The soap cup that sits within the dispenser drawer has become dislodged and it is impossible for me to open the soap drawer. I have wiggled and jiggled the machine and tried just about everything thinkable to get the soap drawer open. the soap dispenser has jammed again. I had it fixed with service call in Jan 2008 and now I have the same problem again. This time they say it is not covered under extended warranty as it due to normal wear and tear. Washer is just 3 yrs old.

I would not say that is normal wear and tear, but the fabric softener or bleach dispenser may not have gotten replaced correctly after they were removed. You should rarely have to clean these out (as they are flushed with water on each cycle) Make sure they are installed correctly and you should not have repeat problems. Now, Here's a possible solution to the current jammed dispenser: Remove the two screws on the bottom side of the plastic clips on the back of the washer (leaving the clips attached to the washer's top), then use the palms of your hands to sharply push the top back about an inch and a half and lift the top off the machine. Now, if you can see enough through the translucent plastic to tell where the hang up is, you can drill a small hole in the top of it to allow you to push that part down so the drawer will open. Then, use foil duct tape to seal the hole.

My name is joyce

The thing that I would suggest to you seeing that its not under warrenty you can take the top of the machine off and remove the drawer this way and the slots that seperate the washing powders from the liquids, remove that, it may be getting stuck. try this first if this does not work you may want to call an exspert to look at the machine. if you need any more assistance please let us know and we will we help.

Leaking washing machine

Disconnect first the mains, power plug off the wall. You could have a clog in your soap drawer; pull the dispenser drawer completely out. There is a tab that needs to be depressed to release the drawer to remove. Clean the soap drawer with an old tooth brush. The usual block could be old soap, softener, etc. (you could also be using too much soap powder). I usually use just above 125ml (my measure cup says ml, I use front loader powder for the 5.5kg load) The wash is very gud. This is the normal issue that will cause water to leak out of the dispenser housing.

Wash the dispenser drawer thoroughly with warm water. Make sure that you pull off the siphon covers and wash all siphon holes. This process is described in your owner's manual. Next could be one of hoses has become loose, should be re-fixed. Examine by removing top of the front loader; this will give you a gud view of the pipes.

Washer detergent drawer will not open...drawer lock or detergent cup?

Something has jammed the drawer closed. You will need to access the top of the dispenser.
Remove the 2 screws holding the top lid in back. Slide the top lid rearward and remove.
Pry open the top of the dispenser top and using a small screwdriver, unsnap the lid snaps.
This will release the drawer and you can clean out any debris that caused it to jam up.
Good luck.

Soap drawer on bottom washer won't open

Hi and welcome to FixYa.
That cup is held closed by a simple clip that is molded into the dispenser. There is nothing that would really keep it closed unless it is physically broken. Without being there to see the situation it is is hard to offer up anything else. I can say that if the cup is broken, that dispenser is a part #526860. It is not hard to change at all, you can do it yourself and you can order one here:

Hope this helps.

Dispenser wont open

The dispenser has jammed against the drawer and will need to be checked out by a qualified LG technician.  They will have to remove the top of the machine to gain access to the dispenser.  The dispenser has a top section that can be unsnapped to gain access to the drawer for removal.
