It was woking fine and while I was using it to take a pic, suddely horizontal lines appeared and the whole screen went white, now nothing works., menu, back buttons etc, nothing functions ?

You must go to a camera technician. There are some parts inside that already been loosen. That's what happened to my camera before.

I have the same issue, Although My camera is a samsung N46, It was working perfectly the night before, then my friend switched it on and it came up with a black backround and pink + purple vertical lines going through it.
