It might be the tray Feeder not placed properly or the printer needs a service if not done in the last six months. Contact to your nearby Repair shop and Service centre.

Thanks
Scott

We keep getting the message that the document feeder is jammed but there is nothing in there and as soon as you put even one piece of paper in the error message pops up. Is there an easy fix?

Hey, if you're getting the Jam at Document feeder error even though there is no paper jam. First try turning the machine off and back on, if the problem continues you most likely need to replace the DADF assembly (document feeder) part# 004K07270. The part is a little expensive, but you can buy it as an exchange for your bad one from iteminc.com to save you money. Replacing the part is pretty simple, here is a video that shows you how.

I cannot seem to get my Canon Imageclass MF6590 to scan a large bulk, or a small bulk without out either jamming up or saying there is a jam when there actually isn't one. I work in a law firm and this...

It sounds like a poorly designed scanner. Maybe try using a different kind of paper? I am in college for mechanical design and we use large plotter printers and we have been having problems with the print head catching on the paper since the school started using cheap paper. Could that be related? I am not sure, but my best bet would be to just get a new scanner>

here is a website that tells how to correct jams and also shows some pictures of all the door openings, It sounds like the cover that holds you bulk paper, sometimes there is a lid on top of it. it may not be seated properly.
hope this helps

Printed 47 pages, paper for page 48 started to feed incorrectly & was yanked out. However, LCD keeps saying paper jam even though entire paper was retrieved. Turning machine off, on, examined for any...

More likely especially if the paper was pulled out backwards, that the paper sensor just before the platen roller is bent or broken. When you pull paper back up thru the feeder it gets caught on this sensor tab and it gets bent, holding it up just like a paper scrap would. If it's broken or you can't locate it to bend it straight, you will need a shop to repair your printer.

Hi :) I'm trying to print on my Canon PIxma- mp480 to no avail

Hello
This can be due to a feeder wrong setting on the printer or on your PC: your printer tries to take paper from the back feeder, whereas your paper is on the front feeder....
try to check these settings in your PC and on your printer, and retry to print, hoping this helps

I bought a brand new Ricoh aficio mp 171, when I am printing using the bypass tray the legal size papel keeps jamming 3/4 of the page Note copier is only 3 days old.

Jeez, the MP171 is so new I haven't even had a service call on one yet, it's pretty much identicle to the 161 though. One of the biggest problems I've seen with the bypass trays is having them set at a static paper size and then running a different size other than what you've entered. Your symptoms match that of paper jam caused by timing error, being that the bypass utilizes the main body for the bulk of the feed cycle and your main drawer works, I would double check what size you've got programmed in for the bypass.

I do'nt see any paper being jammed.

when the message appear? Turn on printer or starting to print? If message appear at beginning turn on printer is caused by "something " slip at paper feeder. But if it appear at start to print, it caused by chip error? Do you use CISS chip?

the paper sensor pin is jammed up in sensor so it detects that the paper is still there.even though its not there.get the printer serviced so that the sensor moves freely.this will solve the problem. please do not forget to rate the solution.thanks

Hi I get this 250.07 paper jam check mp feeder on Lexmark t644

Please try this

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Keeps showing "document jam" even though the jam was cleared

Most likely one of the jam sensors was knocked out of its clip. You would have to take the document feeder off and apart to find and reseat it.
