My Hp Laptop's touch pad is not reponding to touch. Please help me. The curser reponds but not the touch reponse. The touch pad reaponds to scrolling but not to finger tappings. The two right and left bars...

there is a key combination that enables/disables the touch pad. it's the Fn key + the function key that shows a little mouse icon in blue at the top of your keyboard. on Fujitsu this would be Fn+F6 for instance. if this doesn't work, it is possible that the touch pad has been turned off in the BIOS setup. you will have to enter the BIOS and enable or automate the "internal pointing device"

How do i turn off zoom function of synaptics touch pad Hp laptop

Are you talking about the two finger zoom by spreading your fingers apart on the touchpad to zoom out or pinching them together to zoom back in?
This works for Dell touch pads so below where it says ‘Dell touchpad’ it probably says HP touchpad?

· Goto your control panel
· Click on ‘Mouse’
· Click on the ‘Dell touchpad’ tab
· On the resultant popup screen, double click on the main touch pad region
· Click on the ‘gestures’ setting
· Uncheck the zoom
Good luck…Chris

Fingerprint reader

did you setup the finger print reader before?

Here's what you have to do...

Sign in to windows using your finger print, once your able to sign in then you may have to reconfigure the finger print utility. there should be an icon at the bottom right hand side of the screen or go to all programs or under the control panel. it should be in there.

if you were able to set it up before, you should be able to change it again.
