Allignement error HP 750C

I have a problem with our HP 750C. The cartridges were empty, so I replaced them. Now I get a ´allignement error´ and ´-------> continue´ on the screen.
Can anyone help me.

One or all of the cartriges is not working. If you press continue, and do a color cartrige alignment page again, you will see what cartrige is not working properly

I also had this problem and spent many days looking for the fault until I finally found it. Before this I had replaced:

    The service station
    Head carriage unit
    ribbon cables
    Mainboard

To fix this problem perfom the following:

Remove the Right hand control console cover.
Remove the drop tank (2 screws hold this in place and a clip).
Locate the main platen gear which is interlocked with a worm drive motor.
There are two torx screws holding the gear to the platen and these will have come loose. Tighten them and secure them with threadlock.
It might be a good time to clean out the drop tank (mine was half full!) and regrease the platen gear and worm drive.

    Hope this helps!

750c plus was turned off and now says printer cartridges missing

Pull out the cartridges, turn the plotter on and install the ink cartridges one at a time - making sure each one is recognized. One of them may have gotten a power surge and had the electronics burned out - - replace that cartridge with a new one.

Check with Island Inkjet or a similar ink provider. The ink must be the correct mix and density.
Ink must be refilled as soon as it runs out. Contact the ink supplier on how to transport empty cartidges. DO NOT ALLOW the unit to dry out. The cartridges are the print head. If the cartridge is out of ink AT ALL, it will clog. Clogged heads mean you need a brand new cartridge.
See about one set of spare print cartridges so they can be rotated.

My 750C printer tells me to clear the cartridge path, I see no problem. How do I clear error message?

Your carrage belt probably needs replacing. Try and lubricate the shaft slightly with a drop of sewing machine oil. Look around either end of the belt where it goes around the motor on left side and tension pulley on left side, do you see a lot of purpleish bits/dust. If you do then the belt needs replacing.

HP 755 CM CARTRIDGE MISSING ERROR

This normally points to a worn ribbon on the carrage. Make sure the ribbon where the cartrige makes contact is really clean, if cleaning make sure the plotter is turned off. Sometimes a build up of ink can cause problems. The bad news is that if the ribbon on the carrage is worn it firstly comes with the carrage as a unit, and secondally the carrage is no longer available from HP

I changed the black ink cartridge as per instructions and the printer printed an alignment paper which i then placed in the printer for alignment but the alignment failed

the page should be absolutely new.and the scanner glass should be absolutely cleaned.and 1 main thing u replaced your black cartridge.but if your colour cartridge is empty it will not accept the allignment complete thing.it will show allignment failed as the particular colour is missing in your allignment sheet which is required to get the allignment complete.
