remove all possible [parts, battery, back cover, sim card, memory card and other things you can open using a special screw driver, let it dry several days or use a hair dryer on cool settings until determined everything is dry.
As for the battery, let is dry under the hot sun before attempting to put it back in the phone.
after that make a simple power on test, if it works, you are in luck, otherwise consider your phone completely water damaged and will not be accepted for repair due to the red water damage mark indicator.
Remove the battery immediately. Take a vacuum and hold over the open battery compartment for about 15 minutes. Do the same on the front keypad for 10 minutes. (Use a vacuum to draw the moisture OUT. If you use a blow dryer you can force the moisture further into the unit.)
Place the entire open phone down into a bowl of uncooked rice for 24 hours. insert the battery and recharge. It's been know to work, but like I said..no guarantee. Good luck
I have had the same issue twice now, both times I was able to buy replacement buttons on e bay for about 10 dollars, however there is no instructions, and I think it was my fault it broke the second time because they are so delicate and difficult to replace without breaking a clip. However they are cheap and easy to find on e bay if you wanna chance the repair yourself!!
if you havent tried this before, do a hard reset, take the battery out etc. if you have done that or if this doesnt work, run the application loader on the blackberry desktop manager that is on that CD that came with the phone.
double click the application loader icon on the screen and the application loader wizard will pop up....just keep pressing next until it comes to a white screen where it says no actions are requried....select advanced. select the first box that says erase all application data and select next. after that, select the fist butotn and the check box below that says automatically back up.
at this point, keep clicking next. its going to uninstall and reistall all of your data. it shouldnt delete anything unless theres a system glitch. but bassically youre doing a master reset. unless you spilled water on the keypad, this should fix the issue.
Ok, You need some assistance for that. You should get some precision screws and unscrew your mobile.
The get a hair drier and put it on (Hot) or the Red button and start drying the Main board of your Sidekick.
But be careful with unscrewing your device, as you may forget some screws.
