If you have an extra HD try putting in.

You can also make a system repair by booting into your OS bootable CD.

please rate.

Dear svcomputerse,
Have you checked out the support-site? go: http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d915gvwb/wb_howto.htm This is the OFFICIAL support site for your mobo! Since it's new enough, try contacting Intel with your issue if you can't find it on the support site! They should help you, since you're within factory warranty terms.
Kind regards,
-Stephan

I want to upgrade my system to increase my hard disk . how much memory is supported and mother board nob is intel d915 glvg please help to solve my problem

Your board will support up to 4GB or DDR400 or DDR 333 (pc3200, or pc2700). If you are running Windows XP you can only use 3GB as XP will only recognize that much memory. Your board also supports dual channel memory architecture so to maximize performance add matching pairs of memory. Your full board specifications are in PDF format and is located on this page. Will not boot, bios does not show a hard drive, only two CD drives

The peripheral devices as Hard disk and cdrom is not connected with the IDE cable or has loose contace. Even power cable of devices is not properly done or left out. So you need to check the IO IDE cable connetions and the power cable connections of the devices being connected to the mother board.

sounds like serious memory errors. download and boot to "memtest86" to terst your ram for errors, but it may also be the memory controller.

you can try also to swap slots between the memory sticks and see if it works better with the sticks swapped.
