Have you changed the power cable? most likely faulty power cable. but if that doesnt fix it your ipod has an internal problem and needs to be sent in for repair I had same problem but new cable fixed it.

I went to the general settings icon and erased the entire ipod not knowing the damage it would cause, its definitely frozen and wont connect to itunes; itunes does not register my ipod it only shows the...

1: Plug your iPod into your computer.

2: Hold the power button and the menu button (underneath screen) down simultaneously until the screen goes black, then shows the Apple logo again. Then release the buttons.

3: Wait for five to fifteen minutes until your computer plays a "chime" sound. The iPod should then show the "locked" screen with the battery logo, and you should be good to go. You will probably want to resync your media to your iPod at this point, and make sure it's charged.

80GB video ipod is not turning on.instead the apple symbol blinks

Connect the ipod to your computer and let it sit for about fifteen minutes. Then it should show up in your computer and under itunes. Usually, if your ipod dies completely, when you try to charge it using a wall or car charger, it will do that, just flashing the apple logo and going back off. Leaving it plugged up to the computer will allow the battery to charge just enough so that it can sync with itunes. While it is plugged into the computer and charging, it should say something like, battery very low, charging. It should work after letting it sit plugged up to the computer.

Apple 80gb ipod freezing/computer wont recodnise ipod

Try it on another computer and if it happens its the ipod. Or try restalling itunes with the lates version (7.7.1)
If that doesnt work try using a different program for your ipod eg Jriver media center

Ipod won't charge, won't show up in itunes.

The same thing happened to me. I suggest getting a wall charger? And if your iPod won't show up on iTunes but you want to add songs and stuff, just keep trying.

Ipod wont show up in my computer or itunes...

Have you tried resetting either ipod? In order to reset it, you just need to hold down both the menu button and the center button at the same time until the ipod turns off. then the apple will pop up on the screen and it will start up like normal. If this doesn't fix the problem for either ipod, then most likely the problem is with itunes or your computer. I would say that if it doesn't even show up on your computer anywhere, you're probably missing a driver or something.

Sad Ipod sign and B&W charging battery sign....

I would suggest uninstalling everything that had to do with you ipod off your computer (itunes, drivers, etc. and then reinstalling them. My friend was having a similar problem and this is what I told him to do and it worked for him. Hope this helps.
