Question about Belkin (F5D7230-4) Router (587009)

1 Answer

Wireless Network Setup

I have a Belkin F5D7230-4 wireless router that i am trying to get working. The only problem is the servers I connect to use clean access and require the client to log on through clean access to gain internet access. I made my router into an access point and finally was able to gain access through my desktop. However on my laptop I am able to connect just fine to the router but Clean Access doesn''t pop up allowing me to log in. I once was able to connect without having to turn it into an access point and use it as a regular router, however that was once and I am unable to again.
Thanks.

Install the Cisco Clean Access Agent software on your laptop. Contact your server administrator for the appropriate download for your operating system.

The software must be present to scan your system and send information to the Cisco Network Access Control device.

I bought belkin g wireless modem ruter but they didn't give me CD . How can i install this and how can i use my wireless ruter please. Thank you.

Power-off your cable-modem (or DSL-modem).
Use an Ethernet cable to connect from the modem to the WAN port on your router.
Use another Ethernet cable to connect from one LAN port on your router to the network-port on your computer (desktop/laptop).
Turn the modem on.
Turn the router on.
Turn the computer on.
Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD
Press Enter
Type IPCONFIG
Press Enter
Look for output like:
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 1234.678.0.1
Start Internet Explorer
Type http://1234.678.0.1
to access the web-server "inside" the router.
Run the Network Setup Wizard.
Run the Wireless Networking Setup Wizard,
to pick an SSID, an encryption-level (use 'WPA')
and to pick a network-password.
Now, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable from the computer, and try using the wireless-adapter inside your computer.

We have a belkin.49ed router and hooked it up. It

The wireless security of the Belkin must have been enabled. Use a computer wired to the router to access the setup page and get the network key.

In the address bar of your browser, type 192.168.2.1.

By default, leave the password blank.

Once on the setup page of the router, go to Wireless -> Security. You will see the network key here.
On your laptop, view the available wireless networks and you should see your wireless network name or SSID, then when you click connect you have to enter the network key.

I hope this helps!

Where is the wep key located on my virgin router

Connect your desktop computer to your Belkin router, and access the router's built-in web-server software. Then, run the "Wireless Network Setup Wizard", to configure the router's wireless networking capabilities. As part of that process, you will be required to _create_ a "WEP-key" value. Use that value when configuring the wireless capability of your PS3.
