STOVE IS beeping showing code f1

Unplug it or turn off the circuit breaker - that will reset the electronics. If that doesn't fix it you need to post the model number which can be found inside the door jam where it is hidden when the door is closed. Lower door on a double oven or range with storage/broiler drawer

All of the sudden our maytag range flashed an "F 1" on the display and when we opened the oven the broiler coil was red hot and we were baking biscuits that burned to a crisp. Any insight you can...

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

Error code F1 is displayed due to electronic oven control failure and the only way to solve this problem is by replacing the control board which is bad. Sorry for the bad news but hope you understand... Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

What does F1 indicate? My oven seems stuck on Broiler and a signal keeps flashing F1 with beeping signal. What could be wrong?

F1 is a common failure on a lot of ge oven controllers. Although sometimes it is caused by a keypad failure. The test is to disconnect the keypad, power up the oven with the keypad unplugged ... see if you get an F1 ... may take a while ... 30 minutes or so. If you still get an F1 then the problem is with the oven control board. If so, we can repair the board for you.

Oven broiler will not go off., when i close oven

This is a control board issue. The contacts on the broiler relay may have welded closed. You options are to replace the controller, or disable the broiler relay output. The controller is the most expensive part of the range. The model numbers shown do not match a Kenmore stove, so I couldn't give you a better answer. Check on the back of the unit for a model number and go to Sears Parts site to find what you need. If the oven works but not the broiler you may be able to disconnect the output from the card and continue to use the rest of the range. I did this while waiting for my part to arrive. The Sears store should have a wiring diagram if you can't find the one that is usually found on the stove. Mine was in an envelope on the back of the unit, though I have seen them attached to the backside of the rear cover. Mine was just a quick connect and I pulled it loose, taped the end up and continued to use the rest of the range.

Oven just turned off

It sounds like your microprocessor in your control board is damaged. You can leave the power off for as long as a week to see if it will reset. If it comes up the same way, it's an electronic problem with the display driver. Frigidaires usually display an "F1" code. Any way, power down, wait at least 3-5 days, power up, clear, reset time and see how it goes. If it happens again, you may have to get a new oven control board/display.

the broiler came on automatically??? not a sensor issue. sounds as if you have a broken wire perhaps, or a faulty control panel energizing the broil element w/o being prompted to. does it say its broiling when element comes on??
