Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How can I transfer recordings to a hard drive?

Any external USB hard drive that uses a 3.5" hard drive (the larger drives they use in desktops) will work. These all come with an external power adapter you must plug into the wall.

The external hard drive units that use the smaller 2.5" hard drives are the ones they use in laptops. These require much less power, and can be powered by the PC's USB port although some do come with an optional power adapter. However the Dish receiver does not send enough power to its USB port to power the hard drive, which is why the tech told you to get one that has an external power supply.

Even then the DVR uses a drive format that your computer may not recognize. I don't know if there are tools out there that will let you connect a hard drive from a DVR, read and convert the TV shows stored there.

Another option is to buy a DVD recorder. This is like a VCR, only it uses a DVD disc and not a video tape. Connect the DVD recorder to the outputs on the DVR, and then set the DVD recorder so it will record from its input. (on my DVD recorder this is "IN2")

Put a blank DVD into the DVD recorder, start playing a show on the DVR, and hit record on the DVD recorder. When the show is finished, hit stop on the DVD recorder to stop recording. The advantage here is you can then play this DVD on any DVD drive. The disadvantage is DVD recorders only record in non-HD. You can still play a show in HD, but the recording you get won't be in HD. Also, the show has to record in real time. So if it's a 60 minute episode, it will take 60 minutes to record.

Technika tv

Check its speaker first. If it is found OK, check and replace the damaged component/s at the audio output circuit inside it. This is not a remote control fault. Products powered by electricity should be serviced or repaired only by experienced professional technicians. Any attempt to service or repair the product by anyone else could result in serious injury or death. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electrical shock. Instead, contact the nearest service centre.

Skipping ahead when viewing recorded programs

It sounds liek your remote control button is sticking inside a bit.
To test it, have it playing, and hide the remote under a cushion so it can't possibly send a signal to the main unit.
Sometimes the rubber buttons need cleaning underneath, even though they don't appear to be stuck down at all.
Its also possible that the remote is actually just going faulty emitting fake signals. I have a HiFi that turns on and starts the radio all on its own (spooky!!!). I found its the remote occasionally sends a radio-on signal about once a week to the HiFi :)
I just hide the remote now unless i'm using the thing.

We can turn tv on with remote or manuel. The tv goes off,

You may be experiencing the death throes of the main power supply.
BTW, you should always include the make and model numbers of ALL devices, not just one. You may have a model that has known issues that one of the techs has already dealt with.

Plays records too fast, needle cartridge is loose

Many of these old phonographs play a little too fast. one possible fix is to rig up a dimmer switch into an "extension" cord that you plug this vintage phonograph into. The lower voltage will slow it down and you will be able to adjust the speed.

Daenyx DN26D

We are experiencing the same problem with our DN26D...we'd purchased this TV back in July at WalMart in Toronto in September 2007. We have now only a blue screen and after reading through the poorly written manual we are unable to troubleshoot. Auto tuning has done nothing and switching channels has proved even less. Before sending the model back to the manufacturer could anyone suggest what we can do?
