Battery wont hold charge model #WL 2401

I have the same Lorex unit and was down to no more than 5 minutes of battery life. After disassembling, I found that the lithium ion battery was bulging, a sign of battery failure.

A Google search of the number imprinted on the battery (503778) lead me to a seller in Sweden with these battery specs:
  • Polymer battery 3.7V 1600MAH 503778P 78 * 37 * 5MM electric GPS navigation eBook
I ordered the $10 battery (free shipping) and received it in about two weeks. I then swapped in the new battery (splicing and soldering to the old leads). I now get about 2-hours of video-on run time while on battery.

Good luck!

I have a Motorola gps that fell and landed on the usb charger plug and broke the pin off the board. the battery is a sanyot0052 with 4 wires . Can you tell how i can charge this battery via the 4 wires so...

Don't try and charge the battery directly, as it is a lithium battery it can explode if not charged correctly.
You can try connecting (soldering) wires to the circuit board where the socket was connected to feed in 5V from the power adaptor or USB lead.

How is the backup battery charged and or changed

Remove top (side thumbscrews)
remove main battery cover and battery
unscrew stylus holder from back (1 screw)
unscrew black plastic inner top (4 screws)
remove top gasket
unscrew back (6 screws)
carefully remove back
carefully unplug connector from back
unscrew plastic cover over the speaker & backup battery from inside of back cover (4 screws)
replace battery w/ Digikey #P084-ND
23x2mm 3volt 30mah lithium battery ~$6 USD in 2010. aka Panasonic #VL2320/VCN
this requires you to re-solder the ex. leads to new battery*

(Optional - find an original replacement battery from Panasonic with the correct leads attached and just plug it in. This is much safer.)

Reverse operations and you are back in business.

My quantum radio slave 4i receivers 2 wires (red & black) that go from the batteries both got pulled out by mistake. Is there some place i can go that can fix the wires?

I just fixed one that I bought at a swap meet. Spent $15 at Radio Shack to fix it & put in Lithium AA's.
My 4i wires broke right at the battery holder so I had the original wires still soldered to the circuit board. I didn't know if this was the only problem so I did a lazy man's fix. I bought a new 4xAA holder at Radio Shack for $2 and realized that it didn't have solder leads but it had a 9volt like contact so I had to buy a 5pk of 9volt connectors w/ wire for another $2. I stripped about 1/4" of insulation off of the broken wires and joined them to the new leads, wrapped them in tape and tested it. -Yippee!
I soon realized that there are some little plastic dividers inside that won't give enough clearance to slip the batteries in the bottom with the new connector.-Boo!
I opened up the case and found a direction to set the batteries in that allows me to close the case without interfering so, since it is going to be a pain to change batteries, I made sure to put in the lithiums ($10 at R.S.) that are suppose to last 800hrs.
Here's what I learned when I opened the case: • unscrew the two screws from the back, set the receiver face-up on the table (red light facing you, not the screw holes). • lift off the top cover (so that the antenna & circuit boards stay together). it takes some wiggling but if you do it the other way you run the risk of also breaking the antenna wire. • I remember that the wires had to be tucked in on the opposite side of the antenna but can't recall if the 9volt contacts were up or down. • I had extra wire so I threaded them through the hole at the bottom as I closed the case and made sure I didn't get a wire pinched in the seam. • lastly, I folded the extra wire inside the dead space at the bottom & closed slid the battery door into place

I just replaced the mother board battery myself. You can buy the battery ( A panasonic 3v) from ebay for about 4$. To replace the mother board battery I did it without the soldering Iron, as I feared damaging the circuitry. THe new battery works fine. My solution requires you to have a mac 1200 that is not being picked up alot because I just put a new battery where the old one was. The old battery is soldered in place, I broke that with plyers.

Battery leads

Can You state exactly what the toy is. Maker, Name, model, pictures, year of manufacture. Details help the research process.
But try this...
If talking about a circuit, look where all the solders are, You can sometimes find a solder point that doesn't have a smooth top it will look like something broke off. Find two of these...To tell the difference when you find them which wire goes where, the solder point that traces back to any capacitor ( a cylindrical component with two leads on its bottom that has a black strip down its side noting which lead is negative.) The black wire can be soldered back to the point that traces back to a negative lead. Then the positive (red) will go to the other one.

If this does not help see if you can upload a good quality pic of both sides of the circuit if possible.

Flash Not working

Sounds like the flash unit is not charging up, or the charge sense circuit is defective. Could be something as simple as a loose solder connection on the PCB. No simple way of fixing it without taking the camera appart and poking around with a DMM or oscilloscope.

Battery for pyramid 105 amp

There are many many possible batteries you can use for this application, from lead acid to Lithium polymer. You will need to determine what type of power connector that will fit your unit's jack then make sure the polarity is correct. You can then wire connector
accordingly to battery you select. Make sure battery exceeds current requirements but voltage. If unit has internal charger, make sure the battery you choose is compatible or use dedicated charger
