TV will not receive any type of input

The USB firmware upgrade port never worked in the past. Now the HDMI or the cable port do not communicate with the TV. The menu seems to work when I press the menu button on the remote and the screen display of the menu seems to be normal.

Denon AVR-888 does not pass HDMI signal from Asus ux431f laptop to the Vizio tv.

If your Denon AVR-888 is not passing HDMI signal from your Asus UX431F laptop to your Vizio TV, but is passing signal from your Apple TV, there may be a compatibility issue between the laptop and the receiver or between the receiver and the TV. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check HDMI cables: Make sure all HDMI cables are properly connected and working. Try using different HDMI cables to see if that resolves the issue.
  2. Update firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for the receiver and the laptop. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
  3. Check laptop settings: Make sure the laptop is set to output video through its HDMI port. On some laptops, you may need to manually select the HDMI output in the display settings.
  4. Try a different input: If your receiver has multiple HDMI inputs, try plugging your laptop into a different input to see if that resolves the issue.
  5. Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, contact the manufacturer of the laptop, receiver, or TV for further assistance.
It's also worth noting that some older HDMI receivers may not be compatible with newer HDMI devices. If your receiver is several years old, it may not be able to pass the HDMI signal from your laptop. In that case, you may need to upgrade to a newer receiver that supports HDMI 2.0 or higher.

My Pyle PT694BT receiver plays video, but plays static when connected to Apple TV 4K.

There are a few possible reasons why your Pyle PT694BT receiver is playing static when connected to your Apple TV 4K. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

  1. Check the cables: Make sure that all the cables are properly connected and in good condition. Sometimes, a loose or damaged cable can cause static or no signal.
  2. Check the settings: Ensure that the settings on your receiver are configured to accept the correct input from your Apple TV 4K. Check the user manual of your receiver for specific instructions.
  3. Update the firmware: If your receiver has outdated firmware, it may not be compatible with your Apple TV 4K. Check the Pyle website for firmware updates and follow the instructions carefully to install the latest version.
  4. Try a different HDMI port: Sometimes, the HDMI port you are using on your receiver may be faulty. Try connecting your Apple TV 4K to a different HDMI port on your receiver to see if that resolves the issue.
  5. Test with a different device: If the problem persists, try connecting a different device to your receiver using the same cable and HDMI port to see if the issue is with your Apple TV 4K or your receiver.

Is there a solution to update my LG 55G2-UG HDMI port to comply with an HDCP error between my tv and my Sony Receiver STR-DH590?

HDCP 2.2 wasn't released until 2014. The LG 55G2 was released in 2012. There's no way to upgrade the TV, unless you replace it. Using a splitter probably wouldn't help. The device sending the HDCP check needs every part of the HDMI cable daisy-chain system to send back a "Yes I understand" message in 20ms.

Since a receiver isn't usually sending copy-protected video, this message is coming from one of the devices. Reset the resolution for that device to 1080p. Based on your description of the problem, you need to change the video output on the cable box. This depends on the cable box model and the guide it uses. However, either turn off the receiver with the cable box and TV left on. Alternatively, connect the cable box to the TV directly. For some, you then press Menu (for the cable box) twice to get to general settings. Then enter the audio/video section and look for the video output formats. See https://www.spectrum.net/support/tv/hdtv-picture-formats for some of the reset steps. In some cases, you may need to use a different video output to the TV to get a picture, instead of the error message, to access the menu at all.

On my set-top box, I sometimes connect the RF output to the RF on the TV when the set-top box sends a "out of range" signal. I set the TV to channel 3 (in my case) and then reset the video format. Other times, I just get the blank screen but the menu still works to reset the output format.

I hope this helps.

Why doesn't my Emerson lf501em4f not recognize cable box HDMI?

Several things may be happening. Most likely, you need to adjust settings on the cable box for HDMI output rather than component or composite RCA. The same may be true for the TV. Did you check your input source setting on the TV? Also, go into the Video Settings menu and see if the TV asks for types of cable input for video, and audio settings for audio input from the HDMI.

Only one HDMI port on new receiver/dvd player

Chances are good that your panasonic would not support HDMI 1.3b firmware and you would loose audio or video anyway. If your Panasonic has digital inputs, ie. coaxial digital or optical, run audio to your receiver and HDMI direct from Cable box/ DVD/other source to TV. On the TV settings menu, turn the speakers "off". If you need further help, post a comment and I can help you more

Hello, There is an update for your TV at Sony Support and I would strongly  recommend to call Sony Support to update your TV as firmware updating firmware is risky job for novice and TV firmware can be damaged and TV will shut down.

Connecting computer to tv using usb ports

You cannot, the best thing that you can do is to use the computers video card HDMI output to the HDMI input on TV. The USB is there for things like firmware updates and if your lucky,u may be able to plug in flash drive and view media through it. If your video card has SVIDEO you might be able to use that as well, but HDMI is the way to go if your serious about it, and an HDMI ready video card upgrade for your computer shouldnt cost more than $100,in fact 49 bux at STAPLES right now for a PCIex card.

Mitsubishi HDMI connection trouble

I have the same issue with my 73". Rather then going over all of my connections and equipment I'll just say htat I feel your frustration. I have been on the phone with Mitsubishi directly and it appears as though they have a free software upgrade that should address this problem. If you call 1-800-332-2119 and press 4 in the menu you will get someone to help you. Be patient. They will make you go through all of the fixes that you have already tried. They will mail you a flash drive that goes right into the front USB port of your TV. I hope this is of help. Good luck.

Sony STR-DA5300ES Audio Problem

I am posting this to try and get everyones audio problem for this receiver fixed. If you only connected the HDMI cable to the 510, you will not get sound. This receiver passes through HDMI only, no processing of audio. You must either connect a fiber optic or digital coax to the 510 for that respective HDMI input from the BD player, the DVD HDMI only accepts digital coax, and the Video2 HDMI only accepts fiber optic. If you BD player does not have digital coax out for audio, you must move the connection to Video2 HDMI and connect fiber optic to the Video2 fiber input. Sony butchered the whole purpose of HDMI with this receiver. Hope this heps you. By the way, it is hardware, no firmware update will correct this.
