I have the same machine and this is how I do it. If this doesn't work, then it must have a problem and not because you have done it incorrectly.

Thread the main thread on machine as shown.
Pull the end of the thread throw the top hole in the bobbin roll ( you know the little clear thing where the bobbin thread will be wind on.
Place it on the bobbin holder and push that unit to the right to touch the thing there on the right....Now turn on your machine. Either by using the sew button or using the foot pedal.
This should work...

Good luck.

I have a brother CS-8072 sewing machine and need help winding bobbin. I followed the instructions in the manual but it didn't work.

What were the results of your bobbin-winding attempt?

Make sure the thread path is correct for bobbin winding and that the thread is seated in the tensioner. Most machines, it is better to NOT wind fast--although your machine says the opposite (???).

It looks like your thread comes off the spool goes to the left, through a guide, down to the front of the tensioner and the doubles back to go behind the tensioner before going to the bobbin. (Looks the thread goes counter-clockwise in front of the tensioner, then doubles back and goes clockwise around the back of the tensioner.)

Also, the problem may have to do with the spool type you are using. Try a different thread and spool--AVOID old or bargain bin threads.

If you still have problems, there is a stand-alone bobbin winder (called Sidewinder) for about $30 that is helpful to have. (Verify it will work with your machine's bobbins!) It is great because you can wind bobbins without unthreading your machine and it saves wear and tear on your machine.

Bobin winder won't wind

Check your manual to be sure your are setting up as you should.

If the winder still does not work, you can take it to a dealer for repair and pay out around $80, or purchase the SideWinder bobbin winder for less than $30. I have seen them for less than $20 at Hancock Fabric.

I have one that I use from time to time and it does a very good job. I really did not need it....just can't pass up a new notion.

When winding the bobbin the bobin wont spin ,the motor runs but wont engage the winding mechanism

Make sure you either tighten the knob or push in the wheel on the right end of the machine, at the hand feed wheel.

Singer Concerto 9217 - problem threading bobbin

thread the same way as for sewing. put empty bobbin case in bottom. close slide plate only to red button, not all the way. wrap thread from needle around bolt that holds on the presser foot (or just hold it tight). press pedal to sew. bobbin should wind. when done, shut slide plate all the way and sew.

if this doesn't work, try using a pin to push down the center of the bobbin when the slide plate is in winding position - the little catch on the bottom of the plate breaks easily and then the bobbin won't wind without a little help.

Unable to wind bobbin on Brother Css-8150 stopped suddenly

Checking to see if in fact that the bobbin shaft is turning. Run it without any bobbin on the bobbin shaft. Make sure that it is push over in the correct position and run it. I checked on mine and it does make the whirring sound and the the shaft does spin. Also check underneath the shaft to see if there is any thread wrapped around it. ( I had problems with that in the past). I hope this helps,
