Sometimes speaker magnets or any metallic device can cause this disturbance in this type of monitor. also, if you are using dvi, i would reset all video driver settings to default. this may correct this green tint you are seeing as well. reinstalling the monitor software could have a positive affect.

HI I have a samsung syncmaster lcd monitor and the colour of the screen has change to greenish I have also reset the option in the menu but the problem still persist. please guide me!!!!!

The VGA cable you are using might not be seated correctly. Try removing it and replacing it.
If you have another monitor, can you see if that also goes green when you use it with this computer?
If all monitors go green when used with this computer then your problem is with the computer.
If the problem follows the cable, then the cable is the problem.
If the monitor stays green with a new cable on a new computer then the monitor is the problem.

The screen fonts at bootup are of green colour and the greenish is prominent after bootup also

The tube has aged. You can try to overvolt it, this will restore the correct colors for a short period. Use this time to save some money for a new monitor.

LCD monitor have Vertical lines and black colour become greenish

normally the 19" resolution can support up to 1280*1024, but if it comes with vertical lines in full screen, it might indicate the panel is no longer to work and probably it's time to replace new one.

Black colour displaying become greenish and narrow vertical lines

Most LCD monitors have a default refresh rate of 60 Hz. Older monitors also have limited resolution. Please check your display settings and ensure you're not using a refresh rate higher than 60, or a resolution higher than what it supports. If either one is the case, you're lucky the LCD still works.

Monitor screen changes from regular color to a green tinted screen?

Is the cable connected securely? You may need to check your video card also. You may be able to disconnect the cable and get a red, green, blue icon on the screen. If that appears normal then there is nothing wrong with the monitor itself, it may be the cord or the video card.

Hope this helps!

Discolouring of monitor

There are several reasons for this most likely is the vga cable from the video port has undergone stress (sharp bending or crushing) this damages the cables inside and causes one or more of the colors to not display, usually red and or blue. odd it seems the green always is left unharmed when I see this...weird.
If you can I would replace the cable from the monitor to the computer. if the cable is sealed in then you may be able to find a replacement at a service center. and they could replace it for you
