The resolution of the desktop has been changed. Go to Start , Control Panel, Display, Properties and from there change it to the correct one - it's listed as the default resolution in the user manual of your monitor. If you don't have the manual just try all the resolutions available until you find one that fits and looks well.
Hello, This sounds like bad resolution is set on your computer. The LG 22" FLATRON monitor has a native resolution of 1680 x 1050. However, your video card may not support this so you can also try any other 16:10 resolution like 1440 x 900.
To change your resolution in Windows XP: 1. Access the Control Panel. 2. Choose "Display". 3. Click the "Settings" tab. 4. Under "Screen resolution" move the slider to a 16:10 resolution like 1680 x 1050 or 1440 x 900.
If you computer does not support higher resolutions, you may consider replacing your video card to take full advantage of your nice 22" Flatron monitor.
Your LG flatron resolution is
1366x768.. just change the settings on display properties at
1366x768, if there no available resolution, uninstall your display driver and reinstall your video driver, the process of driver installation detect your monitor resolution automatic <_>
It means your PC video resolution is too high for the monitor to display, you need to set your PC video to the native resolution of this monitor, 1280 x 1024 @60Hz.
Start up in sfae mode (hit f8 while booting up), select VGA support, then right click on desk top/properties to bring up display property/setting. set the new resolution , reboot.
Make sure the video drivers are installed for your video card. If they are not installed, you won't be able to change the resolutions properly. Go into the device manager and make sure the video is installed and not just a yellow question mark that says VGA compatible driver.
If you get back to me I'll lead you to the right driver.
If the screen picture moves then you have the wrong resolution set for your monitor and part of it is extending beyond the monitors capabilities. This is common if using a laptop. Try going into you display properties on your computer and lower the resolution of the display. If you search your monitor model, you should find the resolution that it is capable of. 1600x1024 may be the maximum. (not all video cards support all resolutions so you may have to choose another widescreen format)
the only way you may get it to work is if you use the monitor a secondary device and also use the notebook monitor as well.
But the problem may also be the vga connector converting the signal, as you may have to have a DVI connection on your monitor to obtain widescreen resolutions.
