When you say laser eye, are you referring to the laser used to read your cd's & dvd's? if so, you can find dvd cleaners at most retail stores. the kit will contain a disc that looks like a dvd with built-in brush & cleaning solution. follow the instructions on the cleaning kit & you should be OK. reply if you need additional assistance.

I didn't anticipate that you were actually opening the cover. If that's case, buy some canned air for computers & keyboards. It can be found @ a number of major & electronic retailers & use it to flush out the excess dust. I recommend turning it up on 1 end so that dust follows out. Good luck with that. Oh, and you are welcome!

My jvc wont play disc's anymore it keeps saying no disc I took the cover off and cleaned the eye and that worked for two days and now its back to not reading discs.

Hello

OK, if you already tried to clean the laser lens, you might be out of luck, because it is the laser lens which cases this problem.

You can try running another laser lens cleaner disc, if this doesn't work, the lens itself is burnt out.

Sorry..

Kind regards
Andrea

JVC TH-C60 DBS stopped working

When you say the "TV side" you really mean the Cable or Satellite Box audio, right? There's no digital optical connection intended for the physical TV.

I hope you're not really looking directly into the cable with your naked eye. A safer way to visually check for the presence of red laser is to hold a thin piece of white paper up against the cable and observe the spot.

With your remaining good eye, look INdirectly or hold a thin piece of white paper in front of the the optical port on the JVC to see if there is a visible red glow. Most likely the cable itself is the problem. Make sure it has large open loops rather than tight bends throughout its routing.

My DVD player just stopped loading movies. Could it be the sensor is bad?

You can try and clean glass laser eye with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab, otherwise you will have to replace the laser lens unit

Emerson AV50 says ''NO DISK''

Hi, sounds like you have a dirty laser eye on the DVD player. The eye gets dirty and it won't read movies or function properly. I would recommend a DVD Cleaner CD. I would have you try this before I have you open the DVD Player to clean the Laser Manually. Please try this and Post the Result for me to Review. Thank you

Discs aren't playing

The system isn't 'seeing' the disc, probably due to a bad or dirty laser pickup. Try cleaning the 'eye' of the laser with a dry q-tip. You've have to get inside to do it. If this doesn't help, then the laser pickup is gone and will need to be replaced. This is probably the most common problem with CD players.

Hope this helps, and please rate my advice, good OR bad.

Good luck!

hey,

have you tryed to clean the laser?

You can either buy cd's with brush mountet on it or you can
DO IT YOU SELF remove cover (carefull, high voltage inside, and laser product: so protect your eyes ) and clean the laser with some watter, or other cleaning liquid products?

Tempremental playing dvds

In response to your jvc-a75r DVD player, sometimes the solution might be less complex than it may appear. Had the same problem with my Samsung s321,the machine refused to read DVD's but would play CD's no problem. Simply opened up the cover(usually)4-6 small screws, and found my dog's hair inside of the player covering the laser eye.Electrostatic ionization attracts dust, etc. into the player remarkably well sometimes. Carefully used a cotton swap to remove debri. PLayerworked fine afterwards ...Good luck!
