Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly and have charge if applicable usually located on the underside of the mouse there might be small plastic sticker with a phillips head screw under it rub your fingernail over the top to see if it has a screw or make sure the usb device is properly inserted for wireless or ps2 is inserted correctly I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 >>arrow heads then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7 in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar Click start right click on my computer select properties device manager control scroll to mice and pointing devices you might see a yellow question mark? right update driver Click on >> control panel all control panel items mouse you should see 4 tabs buttons pointers pointer options and hardware under hardware you have options to troubleshoot also you can select properties under driver you will have the options update driver rollback driver or uninstall in xp. In windows 7 click start control panel hardware and sound mouse you will see the same tabs and options as with xp

I need help with my Model 1013 mouse it has the power indicator on but it wont work

The model you have listed is the model of a wireless mouse RECEIVER. Are you sure the object you're using is actually a mouse?

The model 1013 is used to receive the wireless signal from a mouse but is itself not a mouse.

I have a toshiba satellite and after the most recent windows update my external mouse stopped working and says driver malfunction when i plug it in... i have tried everything system restore driver...

Try opening Device Manager in Control Panel and deleting the driver. Reboot, plug the mouse in again and see if that works.
Alternatively try restoring your PC to before your last update.

Optical Mouse Model AM-3055U will not work on this computer

My same model Argos mouse was auto-detected as a "USB compliant mouse" and it failed to work. Went into device Manager and manually re-installed driver as a "HID compliant mouse" from local drivers and it works!!

Centrios X7 gaming mouse

It should work on Vista 32-bit. It says explicitly in the manual that it WILL NOT work with 64-bit Vista. I think you're out of luck, dude.

Hai Charles
In the Device Manager, check the mouse section for any ? question mark over your mouse model. If so, right click the mouse model, select properties, and in the driver tab, click update driver.
It will make your mouse work perfect.

Wireless mouse and keyboard not working

If you have got a USB receiver for the wireless keyboard and mouse, then the solution might be with the receiver. Normally we know that to play a USB thumb drive, we simply plug in and play. But some model of Acer computer require us to press the button on the thumb drive to activate it. The model I had (an Aspire model) set the press button same as the blicking light bulb. So (a) turn on computer, (b) plug in thumb drive receiver (c) press button on the drive, (d) press "contact" button on the mouse and keyboard. That works for me.
