Question about Jenn-Air JMC8100 Microwave Oven
Jenn-Air stoped abruptly during a heating cycle. I cannot figure out how to remove the trim kit and find/replace the fuse. Anyone can help???
Probably not the fuse. If it is, then something caused it to blow as a fuse is a safety device. Since microwaves can be dangerous due to the radio waves, here is what I've done in the past. I had Sears come out and diagnose the problem. Before tech left, I told him I don't have the money to fix it now but will do it in a month or two. I had him write down the parts I needed and the part numbers so when I do want it fixed, I do not have to start at ground zero. He was glad to help. I watched everything he did, and since I work on commercial microwaves, amana, it was no problem for me to order the parts and do the repairs myself. My microwave is a 1200 watt over my stove.
Keep in mind that microwaves are getting so cheap, that you may want to look into just what a replacement will cost.
