Question about Panasonic KX-TG1033S Cordless Phone

2 Problems: #1Volume fades out. #2No caller ID on Call Waiting

#1. Volume of voice at other end fades for a second or two and then returns.
#2. Caller ID does not work when a call is received on Call Waiting. Caller ID is displayed on the first call; only a beep sounds to notify a call waiting for a second call, howver no Caller ID number is displayed.

2. you must have call waiting ID for that to work at all and most of these phones don't use it during active calls.

Hi, how do i answer call waiting on the kx-tg1311. The flash button is not working neither is it working by pressing the call button.


If you subscribe to both Caller ID and Call Waiting with Caller ID
services, the 2nd caller's information is displayed after you hear the call
waiting tone on the handset.
1 Press {R} to answer the 2nd call.
2 To switch between calls, press {R}.

Please download this manual, and study e.g on page 21 About caller ID If you subscribe to caller ID service from your local telephone company, this feature displays the name and telephone number of the caller before answering a call (even when you are on another call). The caller ID features of this product will work only if you subscribe to caller ID service and both you and the caller are in areas offering caller ID service, and if both telephone companies use compatible equipment. Contact your local telephone company if: • you have both caller ID and call waiting, but as separate services (you may need combined service), • you have only caller ID service, or only call waiting service, • you do not subscribe to caller ID or call waiting services but wish to try them. There may be fees for these services, and they may not be available in all areas. This product can be used without subscribing to either caller ID or combined caller ID with call waiting service, although the caller ID features of this product will not function.

Caller ID and Call Waiting ID are subscription services, available from most local telephone service providers. You must subscribe to these services in order for the features to work on your phone. Contact your local telephone service provider for more information.

In addition, your caller must be calling from an area that supports caller ID.

Both you and your caller’s telephone service provider must use compatible caller ID systems.

If you subscribe to DSL service for this telephone line, DSL filters must be plugged into EVERY phone jack that has a phone. The DSL signal can cause caller ID disruption, static, noise and other issues on your line. DSL filters block the high frequency DSL signals from being transmitted to the telephone. If you are not using the DSL filters provided by the telephone company, this will cause static/noise and possibly caller id issues on your phones.

In most cases, we recommend you connect the plug end of the DSL filter into the telephone jack, then connect a telephone cord between the filter and your phone.

Please contact your service provider to obtain DSL filters and installation information.

Caller ID and Call Waiting ID may not be available for every call. Common reasons are incompatibilities between your and your caller’s service, transmission errors and answering calls before the ID data is received.

How to set date and time


Voice Time/Day Stamp
1. Make sure the answering system is ON.
2. Press flash/answerer/call waiting button on the handset to enter answerer remote mode.
3. Press key [8] to enter Time/Day set menu on handset.
4. To set Hour, key in [00]-[12].
5. To set Minutes, key in [00]-[59].
6. To set AM/PM, press the CALLER ID-VOLUME (5or6) button.
7. Press #PAUSE/ringer button to confirm the setting.
8. Press Caller ID-Volume to set Day
9. Press #Pause to Confirm
10. Phone will then Announce the Day & Time

Visual message waiting indicator


Press the mute/program button, then press the caller ID-volume button to select handset setup. Next press caller ID-volume until you get to Default settings. Use the caller ID-volume button to select 1yes. This will return the phone to the factory settings and for took care of the blinking blue light, however you will loose any custom setting or numbers you entered.

Caller id


Some phones are not equiped to pick up call waiting caller id. check the box or look up your model number on the uniden site. The call waiting caller id only shows up on the phone that is in use at the time of the call.

They state that if you have further problems, to contact customer support at 1-800-595-9511. Also, who is your phone service provider? And who is the manufacture of the old phone? Validation


I would assume this could have been a product that was returned to the company that you purchased it from. Follow these instructions. 1. 1. Disconnect power from the base by pulling the plug out of the back of the unit. 2. Press and hold the Page button and while holding the Page button reconnect the power. 3. Continue to hold the Page button until the charge/in use light flashes rapidly. 4. Release the Page button. 5. Press and release the page button on the base once. All handsets are de-registered and HANDSET NEEDS REGISTRATION shows in the display. Then From the Handset Setup Menu: 1. Press the caller ID-volume ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to the REGISTRATION sub-menu. 2. Press the mute/program button to enter the menu. REGISTRATION 1YES 42NO - - -shows in the display. The default setting is 2NO. 3. Use the touch-tone pad to select 1 for YES or 2 for NO. Or use the caller ID-volume ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to 1YES or 2NO. 4. If you select YES, press the mute/program button. HOLD BASE PAGE FOR 5 SECONDS, THEN PRESS HANDSET PROGRAM shows in the display. (Your handset should be held near the base during registration process.) 5. Press and hold the page button on the base unit until the charge/in use indicator flashes. Press the handset mute/program button. REGISTERING shows in the display. HANDSET X REGISTERED shows in the handset display, where X is the handset number. You may now rename your handset. (Refer to Step 3 & 4 of Handset Name Section) NOTE: IF you are re-registering the handset through the handset menu; to rename your handset you must go to the Handset Name Section and start from the beginning step. I understand that you have tried the registation process. Sometimes with electronics, you have to start from ground 0, before it will work correct again. Caller id


This is a feature from your phone company you may have to pay extra for. Caller ID information is normally transmitted just after the first ring. When you are using call waiting there is no ring.
