I am a victim of counterfeit windows..i want to remove the notice in my dektop..how can i remove it without installing a new set of windows? yes i have this problem and i want to deduct it from my pc kindly help me in doing that kindly send me an email about it at [email protected]

If you're seeing notifications that the copy of Windows that is installed on your PC might not be genuine, or that you might be a victim of counterfeit software, it's likely that your copy of Windows was not properly activated or is otherwise not genuine. To fix this, click the notification and follow the steps to either repair Windows or-if you have inadvertently obtained counterfeit software-buy genuine Windows.

If you are using Windows XP, download and install the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification Application. It will scan your operating system and will remove the annoying message if it's a legitimate copy of windows.

Incase you are a victim of counterfeit product of Microsoft then :-

1. Purchase a valid Windows XP cd-key online from Microsoft.
2. If you can produce high-quality counterfeit media, along with a proof of purchase, you can get a free replacement key from Microsoft.
3. Contact your reseller for redress.
4. Purchase Windows XP from a local OEM reseller.
5. Purchase Windows XP at a retail location.

Notice the word "Purchase" appears in three of those five options. There's almost no way to finagle a free cd-key out of this.
Counterfeit software can come from a number of sources. It's important to use a reputable reseller when purchasing software or PCs that come with software.

TRY SYSTEM RESTORE.

2) METHOD:-
2.1) LAUNCH WINDOWS TASK MANAGER.
2.2) End wgatray.exe Process In Task Manager.
2.3) Restart System In Safe Mode.
2.4) Delete wgatray.exe from c:\Windows\System32.
2.5) Delete wgatray.exe from c:\Windows\System32\dllcache.
2.6) Launch RegEdit.
2.7) Browse the following key HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWSNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify.
2.8) Delete The Folder "WgaLogon" and all of its component.
2.9 ) Reboot System.

3.0) BE HAPPY NOW.... AND NEVER EVER INSTALL WINDOWS GENUINE ADVANTAGE NOTIFICATION IN WINDOWS UPDATE OTHERWISE YOU HAVE TO REPEAT THE DAMN PROCESS AGAIN.

Visit Torrent and download the patch ''WGA Notification v1.5.708.0'' Update. In that there is a tool to remove this notice from the desktop. You can also try to get it from PirateBay.com....sodeep

I am not endorsing download or hacking, since it is illegal. The solution is either u install a licensed copy of Windows or visit www.katz.to and search for "windows xp activation, which overrides the activation.

you will see in task manager - Processes - WGATRAY.EXE end this process and delete file from \windows\system32\wgatray.exe

your using pirated software. it will work no worries about that. you can not update it anymore. to update and be safe from internet threats you need to install genuine Windows XP.
