Got wet and it works but no back light - the screen is really dark

Simply its wet and damaged and your lucky its working. You can try leaving it over night in a bowl of rice just drowned in the rice. Dont add water or anything else just rice. The rice works as an absorbant and it may remove that extra water that hasnt been able to try because it is inside the ipod.

My Ipod nano records video with sound but the audio is barely hearable with noises like in an untuned radio. Video is premium quality though.

well that is because this isnt specifically made for audio recording, it does have a special mic on it so that it can be able to drown out the outside noise, and focus on what your taping, this is a problem with alot of video recorders and unfortunately you cant do much about it unless your in a quite place, but there will still be background noise

My drop my ipod touch in the toilet, what can do?

first off DON'T try and turn it on get a bowl of dry rice and bury the ipod in it and let it sit for a few days check it every day and if the rice is wet this is good its absorbing the water and change the rice out, with any luck this will dry it out completely DON'T try and turn it on until your 100% sure its completely dry hope and pray that this works if it doesn't then sorry

Ipod+washer=not good.

It is possible that you damaged only the part that takes a charge, so you may have a much less portable iPod. If it had just happened and you let it sit in some dry white rice, that absorbs the moisture and will occasionally solve some problems. At this point though, I'd say that it's probably shot...

I dropped my ipod touch in the sink and it now it doesn't work

to fix this, you're going to need your ipod, a plastic zip-lock bag, and uncooked rice. first, open the bag and fill it halfway with uncooked rice. then put your ipod in the middle of it all. then zip the bag and let it sit for about a day. the rice should have absorbed all the water by then. most of the times, this will work. but sometimes, the ipod is damaged beyond repair by the water. good luck
hope this helps ;-)

My ipod nano chromatic ha water damage from the washer

Sometimes if you leave it sit for several days or so it will dry out completely and start to work again. I don't recommend charging it or plugging it in for several days or so as if there is still water in it, it may fry some of the chips. It may be beyond repair though.

Volume problems

If you're willing to take a risk.... theres rockbox.org download/install that. It will pump an extra 25% or more volume out.... But the layout is different and takes some getting used to...

also you can buy some better headphones... the kind that cover the whole ear and not those little ear bud things!

I washed my son's iPod Nano and dried it also...

Water damage is not covered under warranty. They have a small indicator in the earphone jack that will tell the Apple Store if it's been water damaged.

Best way to hopefully recover it is to let it sit without turning it on, plugging it in, etc. for at least a week until all water evaporates. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

What happends if ur apple ipod got washed

  1. Dry it off in all places you can find.
  2. Take a hairdryer and dry out all cracks and ports including docking and headphone ports.
  3. Let it sit out and dry for a few days.
  4. If that don't work, I don't know what will.
Hope it works.
