BUY A CHOKE AT THE COMPUTER STORE AND PUT ONE ON EACH END OF THE MONITOR CONEECTION AND ONE ON THE INPUT ON THE MONITOR THAT PLUGS IN COMPUTER SYSTEM, IF THERE IS ONE THAN YOU WILL HAVE TO GROUND THE MONITOR,

****************************************************
CHECK THE POWER OUTLET TO SEE IF IT PROPERLY GROUNDED, SOME ONE MAY OF ADDED HOT WIRE TO THE GROUNDING POLLS.
THIS DEVICE PLUGS INTO THE HALL OUTLET AND LETS YOU KNOW IF IT IS PROPERLY GROUNDED OR NOT GROUNDED.
THAT CAN VOID A WARRENTY ALL TOGETHER

My monitor has a pinkish tint to it. I've tried adjusting the settings and turning down the red but it is still pink. Any suggestions?

Anything magnetic close to the monitor can cause this happen. Make sure there is no magnetic interference.

Monitor lcd acer al2016w 20" letters and image are fuzzy,,why?

I also have an Asrock motherboard (M266A) and have the AL2216W. The image and text is also fuzzy. I did improve it a by by unplugging/replugging all of the connectors on the back of the computer. I believe my mouse had a somewhat loose connection and this was causing interference. I can actually create interference on screen by moving my mouse up and down.
These Acer monitors seem to be very sensitive. I also tried this monitor on a old Desktop with Win98 and another new laptop with XP and it looks good on those computers, but not on my Asrock based system.

22" Acer flat screen monitor

Hi,

this sounds like an electrical fault or failing component, within the Monitor.

Check the cabling, to ensure it,s not damaged-broken-kinked et,c. by carefully moving the cable gently side to side and up and down.
If it puts itself right for a second or two. you can assume its a broken internal wire, within the lead.
Or a dry soldered joint-Connection.

Monitor colour change

The discoloration problem is due to the near by magnetic field (magnetic interference or due to magnets) appliances like speakers which are very near to monitors ...
so what you have to do is just keep some distance to the monitor from the speakers and other magnetic appliances and then press menu button & just give degauss..

It's possible your video card or monitor is going bad. Which type of monitor do you have? If it's a CRT then my guess is....monitor.
Check all your cables and connections first.
If possible hook up a known working monitor to rule out memory or video card problems.Monitors have a refresh rate but I don't
recommend doing this without supervision or complete knowledge.
Check to make sure you don't have any interference close to your monitor. Interference would/could be: magnets/speakers/radio's/televisions/microwaves (not sure about micros.
If your have a LCD monitor I'm not sure all these suggestions apply.

Are you able to test this monitor on another computer as it sounds like a graphics card fault and not the monitor.
