I purchased a Philips television from Walmart. One day, I went to turn it on, and there was nothing, no sound, no picture. I have contacted our cable company, and even picked up a new converter box, but still nothing. I have the extended warranty. How do I file a claim? Or can I simply return the TV to Walmart for an exchange? I have all the paper work, including the original receipt.

Looks like the AV port in your Philips television is busted. It's the only factor if the Wii is able to function with other tv with the same cable. You can either purchase a new television/get the one you have fixed (these will cost money) or you could just purchase an hdmi cable which doesn't use the same port so it could possibly work with your Philips television.
Please use HDMI cable to connect the PS3 to your computer when you found that it is working with that it. It only shows that your three prong cable is defective as it fails every time. Try with another three prong cable and see the results.
I will still insist you to use HDMI cable which will give you better picture quality and sound.
you probably wont have to register but i dont know. but the protection works so that if your Ipod fails (either software or screen stops working) you can send it in for a new one or just get it fixed. i dont know about walmart but the applestore wont fix it if you broke it (cracked screen or dropped in water) unless you pay a little extra $$$
Check your AV-HDTV switch lead on the cable is switched to the right setting to your television if so and it is correct then it sounds like the motherboard is failing so you will have to send it of too MICROSOFT....If you still have the warranty it will be free if not then you will have to call them to see from there.
The television shouldn't make a difference. Try changing out the Cable that goes from the xbox to the television. If still no picture then open the box up and see if you have any loose connections. If there are no loose connections then it sounds like that you have a bad video chip on the motherboard.
Usually if you have sound you will have a picture. What is happening is the video wire may not be connecting to your television. The Audio wire is working. To test this simply jiggle the video wire and see if you get any type of flashing picture. If this is happening you will have a short in the wire, or possibly the television.
I would replace the wire to make sure it isn't the television. You can always try to gently squeeze the circular insert of the wire so it will fit tighter to the television.
I hope this helps, and let me know how you make out.
