My camera connect to pc using time allways device not ready error message

I have the same problem, but my model (B081520) does not use a card--it has internal memory. Perhaps some Windows patch or service pack is now preventing this from working. In any case, I'll try again and again until it works. I used to do that and sometimes it would start working (for no apparent reason).

You better use a card reader, usb2, better way to upload your pictures and (but not least) you don't have risk to endommage the plug on your camera

Lost soft wear need the drivers to upload photos Agfa 1030s

Hi Sandra:
Sometimes the drivers isn't necessary to connect the digital cameras at pc; one method that I suggest is removing SD Card of the camera and use a card reader. Allways this is so fast than connecting the camera directly at pc.

Using the Explorer OS (Operative System) this device will appear as a external or removable drive, then you will can use to copy/paste pictures from the cardto the new folder in the pc.

Check here about Card Readers:

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Device not ready

CNET's review states that this camera connects to USB, but no mention is made of it being compatible with USB2. Theoretically it should be compatible since USB2 ports are supposed to be backwards compatible with USB 1.1. Yet I have other USB 1.1 devices which will cause "device not ready" error messages when I try to connect them to a USB2 port. Interestingly, the CNET article doesn't list Windows XP as a compatible OS. Another person posted that he received the same error message when trying to connect his camera to his 64-bit XP computer.

In any event, Largan's web site doesn't make any mention of them producing complete cameras -- only camera components. Perhaps their foray into the digital camera market was less than successful.

So, while this isn't truly a solution post, perhaps it may point you in the right direction as to possible causes of the device not ready error message.

Turn off the CPU unplug the power cable and all usb cables, let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Plug power cable back in, turn on CPU, plug in your usb devices.

I wish I could tell you what I did. ALl I did was unplug the cable several times from the computer and the camera. I used a duster to blow out any dust particles in the connection areas. I turned the computer and the camera on and off several times. It finally worked.

Device not ready message

I had the same problem trying to transfer pics from my camera. The error message is "The Device is not Ready." I got mad when I read the "solution" from the "plumber" that said to read the directions. DUH!. Now for the real solution... and reading the directions won't help. Your PC is trying to find the camera connected to a specific drive. In my case it was the "E" drive which was already in use, mapped to a shared drive. Once I disconnected that drive it fixed my problem. To disconnect, highlight the drive, go to Tools and Disconnect Network Drive. Reboot the PC and plug the camera in before booting back up. (If you have hardware connected to the drive, right mouse click on the drive and eject.)

I am getting communication errors. Error Message appears in the display "Your camera or PC is not ready." (Fuji DS, DX and MX digital cameras only)

Most of the time the problem is due to the serial port setting of your PC. Please follow instructions below. Cause Camera is not communicating to your PC. Remedy Please check the following. 1. Cable connection. 2. Camera is ON and in PC mode. 3. Camera's batteries are not exhausted. 4. Go to Communication setting from "Camera" and make sure proper COM port is selected. 5. If your PC has external input device, disable its driver such as "Hot Sync" or similar drivers. 6. If your PC supports PS2 mouse, please use it instead of serial mouse. Then one serial port is available for the Digital camera. 7. Check in the BIOS Setup Screen to make sure the serial port of the PC is not disabled. Also, if your personal computer is equipped with an internal modem or infrared port, it may cause conflicts with port assignments internally that will not allow communication with your camera and PC. In such case, it is necessary to change the COM port setting for serial port. For details, see the User's Manual for your personal computer, or ask at the store where you purchased your personal computer
