Device drivers are specialized software that allow a computer system to interact correctly with a piece of hardware. Many device drivers come pre-installed with Windows XP, and you may have added more when installing new video cards, webcams or CD drives. Updating a device driver helps the hardware remain compatible with newer software and often fixes bugs and other performance problems. Windows XP can automatically update device drivers from the Internet using the Device Manager Utility included with the operating system.

It might take some time being a freeware driver solution.

You will have to update every driver individually once you update. You might be

Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right. But it doesn\'t hurt to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date.
But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including
webcams, use DirectX for video processing. Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c Windows Vista: DirectX 10).

If you still have no webcam installed, Run the "Add a device"application, accessed by clicking on the "Start" button, opening the "Control Panel," and then double-clicking on "Add a device."
The "Add a device" window will open and Windows will search for devices connected to your system but not installed.
Click on the webcam name that shows in the search box and
then click "Next."
Choose whether you want Windows to search for the webcam
device driver using Windows Update over the Internet, or if you\'d prefer to
have the device manager search for the driver using a disc supplied by your
laptop manufacturer. Most drivers can be found on the system recovery disc
included with your laptop, if you choose to add the driver from the provided disc.
Place a check in the box next to your choice and then click "Next" to continue.
Wait while Windows searches from the driver using Windows
Update, if this was your choice.
An active Internet connection is required for Windows to
successfully do this. Allow the computer to install the driver and then reboot
the system for the webcam to become recognized by the system.
Otherwise, you can use the system recovery disc or a driver
downloaded directly from your laptop manufacturer to install the driver without
using the Windows Update search feature.
Open the CD/DVD-ROM drive and insert the system recovery
disc, or place the driver downloaded from the manufacturer in an easily
accessed file directory on your PC, such as on the desktop, or in your "My
Documents" folder.
Choose the option "Install the software automatically
(Recommended)" in the "Add a device" application, and press
"Next" to begin searching for your webcam driver.
The hardware wizard will search the system recovery disc and
install the driver automatically. Press "Finish" to close the wizard
and then reboot the computer to allow recognition of the webcam.
Choose the option "Install the software manually"
in order to browse to the driver location where you saved the driver and
install it from there.
Use the opened file manager and locate the driver.
Click the "Next" button to install the
driver, then reboot the computer to add webcam functionality.

Drivers for polaroid pdc3035 digital camera

Which operating system are you using? Try This: (in Windows)
Start Menu, -> Control Panel, -> System -> Device Manager...

Select your Camera Device (May be listed under "Other Devices")..

Right-Click and choose Update Driver (then select automatic/online)

Windows should automatically find the drivers.

If this doesn't work, You can go to here:
http://store.polaroid.com/support_detail?p=4052
(You have to create an account, which should be free, in order to access customer support.) Apparently though, your camera is Plug-and-Play ready, so it should work without installing any drivers.
At least, that's what I seen in every forum thread with your camera in it. I hope I helped. Please rate me. Have a great day.

I have lost the driver for my Aries digital camera ATC-0017. Is a free download of this driver available?

Hi,

The only place i could find is :-

http://www.bioticaindia.com/atc-0017.html

I believe it's free of charge. You can check that.Once you click Download, look at the bottom. It would say, enter your email address and we would send you the file. I apologize i tried but still waiting for reply so cannot guarantee whether it's Free or Not but more likely seems to be without charge.

Let me know, if need further assistance.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Camedia 4.1 disk download

They easiest way is to use a memory card to store photos on, then use a generic USB memory card reader to transfer the photos from your card to a PC. Until camera makers can use universal USB drivers built into the PC to run their camera's, these problems will always remain.

Need new disk to download on new computer powershot A75 3.2 mega pixels

You can either order another one through Canon for $19.95 I believe.

Also you can connect your camera and download without it as long as you have the driver updated. You can get the driver by going to Canon website, finding your camera's downloads and drivers section and selecting your operating system.

If this doesn't solve it, update the driver software from your device manager. If your camera shows up there, make sure it is the only imaging device that shows up, right click and update driver software by having your computer search automatically. This should work assuming your camera is compatible with your OS. Feel free to ask any other questions if this doesn't resolve your issue.

Hope this helps!
