Re: zanuassi jet system frony loader has a bad smell
Hi this is joyce
They sell a product called affresh it cost about $10.00 you put in the machine and run a cycle and this should take care of the smell. if this does not do it then run pure bleach in despenser and run cycle no clothes in washer. this will kill the mold. also never close the door completly on the machine because this holds moisture inside the machine, so leave a crack in door so the machine will dry out some. this should take care of the problem.

Unfortunately, once the door seal goes mouldy it is impossible to get clean. Only option is to replace seal. Once seal is replaced, you need to wipe it dry after each wash and leave door ajar to prevent reoccurence of mould.
Some front loaders have a door boot drain hole, most do not and it is normal for some water to accumulate at bottom of boot. To help with mold and mildew use a washing machine cleaning solution, follow directions. Also a bleach solution of 2 parts water 1 part bleach sprayed on area helps. If mildew is really bad, nothing will completly remove it. Make sure you use only a high efficiency detergent.
Front loaders are known for building up mold and the smell.
It’s caused by using liquid detergent which is made from animal fat. Use
powder. And use the minimum amount.
It’s caused by using fabric softener. Dilute it50/50 with water.
It’s caused by the water remaining in the tub between washes. Leave the door
open to allow it to dry. .
Pull the rubber door seal back and clean the mold off .
Find out where your filter is; it is at the end of the thick hose coming down from the bottom of your tub; open up and clean out. Another possibility is there could be something stuck in your drum, feel if you could locate it. Next clean out the hoses in machine. After all this flush out with a hot wash, without clothes.
People shd ask the service man where the filter is. If he knows that is.......................It gives you the biggest problem if you dont check.
Use tilex to remove the mold. Then see what happens. If the mold comes back right away it may be a problem with the rubber gasket not seating as it should. Let me know. And please rate my solution. thanks.
Please go to this website ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/Webster/134609000een.pdf and look at the sectiopn pertaining to cleaning the dispenser drawer. In all probability, the dispenser is stuck and needs to be cleaned.
I hope that solved your dispenser issue.. As for the foul smell of the washer.. Front loaders are plagued with this problem and there is no known solution however there are a few things you can do to minimize and/or prevent that foul smell for a period of time.. After the last wash load, wipe down the door gasket thoroughly, If you do not have any small childern in the house.. leave the door open to allow the inside of the washer to air dry.. You can use a product sold at Home Depot ( and other places) called AFRESH and that will help for a while.. otherwise.. Front Loaders must maintain a leaktight sela to keep water from leaking but in so doing... it is also airtight.. herein lies the problem.. any standing water left over after a washer wil get stagnant and develop mold over time.. Hope this helped...
the problem is your door seal if you close the door after a wash then what happens is the water goes mouldy on the inside of the door seal what you need to do is replace the door seal you will never get rid of the smell without replacing it never close the door after a wash always leave it open to make sure its your seal the easy way is to look at the inner part of the seal and it will be mouldy only thing you can do
