Its so simple enter the formula given below.
First press the C button then press the exposure mode change button ( this is what you used to change the exposure from auto to manual or photo modes) then again C button, then again exposure mode change button then 1 and 4 then start button ( this is what you press to take a copy)
Try this and put it right.
It sound like the scanner is not lighting. Open the cover and press green copy button. As the scanner moves it should produce a green light. If it does not then the halogen lamp will have to be replaced. Its part number is FH7-3381-000 for the 120v model and FH7-3380-000 for the 220/240v one. personally I would not bother as they are not worth repairing.
I dont have info on your PC-920 but almost all canon copiers use the additional function button to gain access to settings. Try selecting the additional function button on the operation panel, then use the - or + buttons to scroll thru your options. When you see Reg Paper Size press ok then use the - or + button to select 8 1/2 x 14 Legal paper then press ok. This is the steps to take on small canon copiers like the ir 1019 and 1023. Your copier is just about the same so this might work. If you have a user hand book that info should be in there.
You can try resetting the code. If it comes back then the machine will need service. The H3 code is a fuser code which is the part that gets hot right before the paper exits the machine.
Press the C key then the far left key then the C key then the far left key. So C,far left,C,far left
These 4 keys must be pressed within 4 seconds. If done correctly your display will go blank.
If so then key in 14 as if your were going to run 14 copies then press the print button.
This will reset the code, at least temporarily. The H codes sometimes pop up when there is no issue with the copier.
If it comes back you will need a repair person.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

followed by the ‘Print’ button, then the second part of the code followed by the
‘Print’ button again. To exit diagnostics: Press ‘Clear’ repeatedly or turn the power off. *To clear a fuser code:(14) Enter diagnostics, select ‘14’ followed by
