olympia dm printwheel spins because a small gear part has broken
Problem for Olympia Supertype 330 Typewriter
Olympia supertype 330 types wrong characters
It will type correctly if you are using the lcd screen but it will not type the correct characters if you are typing directly onto the paper. I don't have a manual for this printer but would like to have an answer, please.

check the pitch setting to make sure that it matches the printwheel. It is the switch that is marked 10, 12, 15, PS. PS is proportional spacing and will only type correctly with a PS wheel. The number settings are for PICA ELITE and MICRO.. 10, 12 and 15. The numbers are characters per inch...so the larger the number, the smaller the character.. it is the opposite of FONT SIZE.
