Tork RZ307 Automatic Lighting Timer . . .

Edited 'Trok' to 'Tork'.
Then with the right maker, we can find the Tork Timer Category.
Also added (what it is).

It is new, it is under warranty, take it back for free replacement. If you fiddle with it, you void that warranty/ The only thing you can try is cutting the power at the breaker for 5 minutes. If that doesn't work, disconnect it for 3 days as it has a 2 day backup. See if there is a battery compartment with a dead bulging capacitor in it.

Power Outage Backup:
Permanent schedule retention with memory module.
Supercapacitor provides 2 days of real time backup.

How do i program a tork dtu40 timer

1) Copy following link for programming manual and wiring Tork DTU40 40amp timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-Tork-DTU40-timer.html

2) The timer mechanism is old Intermatic/Grasslin/GE discontinued model, and then newly re-minted by Tork in 2012. Timer has 1 year limited warranty against defects in workmanship. This timer is protected from surge by the reset feature, but can burn out in heavy surge event. Non-replaceable Internal rechargeable battery retains programming until timer is reset. Always reset new timer to delete trace memories.

3) This timer can be wired many different ways, and timer automatically detects voltage, so there are no dip switches to set. Timer must be wired before power is turned on. Do not spark-test across terminals.

Tork model dts200a/dzs200a shows no display and has stopped working. any Suggesqtions?

Tork DTS200a/DZS200a is 2-channel digital timer with 365 day programming and astronomic capability.
2-channel means that timer can control two different circuits with different program schedule applied to each circuit.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/1TORK.DTS200A.DZS200A.INSTALL_OP.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tork-Digital-timers-and-manuals.html#DTS

1) Timer has 'snap-in non-rechargeable 9-volt lithium battery'
Replace with ordinary 9 volt battery
Battery location is not apparent from image of product, and I don't own this particular timer line.
Add a comment and say where battery is located.

2) Programming is stored indefinitely in memory chip even if battery goes dead.
Current time might have to be reset shown in manual page 3.
Memory can be cleared using procedure outlined in manual starting page 13.

3) If timer function is not restored, then timer might have gone bad.
Contact NSI:
http://www.nsiindustries.com/contact-us.aspx
Many timers and other electronics are not protected from power surge.
Lightning strikes, electrical storms, and simple power outage can knock out electronic timers, and water heaters, water softener, treadmill, etc.
1-event Surge protectors can be installed in main panel to help protect circuits and electronics.

How do you program a Tork 602A timer? I can't get mine to cycle on and off at a desired time.

The Tork 602A mechanical outdoor timer with 2 grounded outlets.
Tork 601A and 602A manual
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Tork-601A-Manual.pdf
Manual has images of timer that will help.

Plug timer into outdoor outlet.
To set current time, rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial.
Dial is divided into light and dark sections that represent day or nighttime hours.
Reset time after power outage.

96 pins located around timer dial are used to set on-off times.
Each pin represents 15 minutes in 24 hour day
Move pins in-or-out with fingernail or ink pen to set timer on-off functions.
With Tork timers, usually when pins are out, timer is ON.
When pins are in, timer is OFF.
To double-check pin setting, manually rotate timer to watch when lights turn on-off.

Set multiple ON/OFFs each day.
Change on-off times by resetting a pin or two.
Timer repeats every 24-hours.

Manual ON/TIMER switch is located on inner dial.

Set Manual switch to TIMER for programs to operate.
To override time and turn on Load, move override to ON position.

How do i bypass the DTS400B timer in order to test a sign?

http://www.tork.com/tork/productdetail.aspx
Programming PDF:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/DTS400B_DZS400BP.pdf
http://tork.com/techlib.aspx

Wiring PDF:
http://tork.com/pdfs/technicallibrary/tork_past_mdl_inst_op_wiring_inst/time_switches_past_mdls/1TORK.DTS400A.DZS400A.WIRING.pdf

Above are links to your specific product that you may find handy.
The Tork DTS400B is a 4 channel timer
4-channel means you can control 4 separate loads, and each load can have a different timing schedule
Each channel or Load is wired separately.

To bypass the timer to check the sign, we can do that with the wiring
Open the wiring PDF above.
There are 2 boards of screws.
Wires to the clock are on Lower board and to the left.
These wires operate the timer clock only and we will not work with them.
The Loads (your sign) are wired to the other terminals on Lower and Upper board.
Below is a graphic taken from wiring PDF.
It shows a close up of the Lower board where your Loads connect.
geno_3245_15.jpg

I added Load1 and Load2 to the graphic so it is easier to talk about the terminals.
Before moving any wire, mark the wires with tape and numbers so there is no confusion later when you want to put the wires back.
Take a digital photo of the marked wires before any wires are moved.
To bypass Load1 timer functions, move the N wire to the same terminal as the L wire.
This will close the circuit, so the Load will be ON continually.
To bypass Load2, move the N wire to same terminal as L wire.

In this way, you can check each of the 4 possible Loads separately.

When finished checking the Loads, move your wires back.

Also above, I included the programming PDF so you have a digital (and search-able) manual for the programming functions.

Add a comment if you need more help.
