The wash arm(spray arm) is not a tight fitting item,as for the noise the when spraying have a look at the spray arms the are a few holes on each side and top and bottom of each arm,you will need to remove the arms of possible they normally have a quik release system where you push two small fingers together and the arm releases, then inspect these holes and you will probebly find that some are blocked this cuases a uneven flow of water and thus makes the arm rotate un even and make a noise if you find there is food of sorts in these holes remove and put the arms back and that should take care of the increased noise.

1. The spray arm has an aluminum piece on the bottom side of the spray arm. It kinda separates away from the plastic arm and as the spray arm turns, it hits the inner door liner. You can see the scrape marks it makes on the door liner. You can bend the aluminum edge upwards with needle nose pliers or try to make it tight to the plastic spray arm by pushing on he tabs.
2. If you have removed the spray arm make sure the thin silver washer is still inside the hole were the spray arm inserts use a flashlight and look inside that section. If missing, it can also make a noise.

The dishes are not getting clean. There's a white film that remains after washing. Also, at the bottom of the washer and behind a screen filter in the back there seems to be a deposit build up.

Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

Washer makes a grinding noise while running in the wash cycle. I've confirmed the rotors in the unit are not hitting anything inside the tube. The noise seems to be coming from the drive mechanism...

You will likely have to remove the pump motor from underneath to solve your problem. Try removing the lower spray arm assembly down to the deck and check the pump impeller for noises. Make sure to note the position and placement of all parts removed. Hope this helps!

I have the same groaning noise with my dish washer GSD2200G02WW

Hi,
Remove both spray arms, and try a cycle with the washer empty.
If the noise changes or dissapears - replace one spray arm and try again. Replace the spray arm that creates the noise.

If there is no change, then replace the drain pump.

The dish washer is taking ages to wash and it not clean ing dishes well

ok so If your dishwasher has worked fine in the past but, suddenly, your dishes aren't clean after the dishwasher completes all cycles:
1) Check your water heater's temperature dial to be sure it hasn't been changed recently.
2) Be sure dishes haven't prevented the detergent dispenser from opening properly during the wash cycles or kept the spray arms from turning, the lower arm from rising, or the spray from reaching the upper rack's dishes.
3) During the wash cycle, listen to the spray arm spinning inside. If it seems to be spinning poorly, clean out the spray holes in the spray arm(s) with a stiff piece of wire; wait for the machine to cool, and then remove the spray arm(s) by unscrewing the hub cap and lifting the arm(s) off

Don't know about yours but many of the rotating spray-heads are turned only by waterpressure, not a separate motor. The rotator is normally pretty loose and should turn willingly by hand; if it seems stiff and your water pressure is normally lower (most city lines are ~60#, rural from 30-50#) it may not have enough pressure to turn the spray head if a buildup of food has happened.
Not having a motor drive isn't a bad idea because if the washer is carelessly loaded, the worst that happens is no spin, instead of trashing dishes or the machine mechanism.

Open the door quikley while the washer is running. Is the spray arm spraying up and rotating. If not you may have a bad seal under the spray arm or a cracked one.
