Question about Nakajima AE-740 Typewriter
The pitch selector is on 10, keyboard is on KB I, I tried KB II with same problem-any reset or maybe a board gone?
Make sure your printwheel is latched securely, turn off t/w, press and hold the margin release button while turning power on to do a reset/self-test. if characters are not right on self test, then you might have a problem with either the carriage or main board.

Check the pitch selection switch in thr L. side of the keyboard it may be in PS which will do this.
