MY ALL IN ONE WORKED FINE I SCANNED A LOT OF ITEMS IN EMAIL AND CAME IN ONE MORNING AND THE SCREEN SAID SCANNER FAILURE (RECYCLE POWER) WHICH I DID AND MY 5610 STILL WILL NOT SCAN OR PRINT OR FAX AND EVERYTIME I TURN IT ON IT TELLS ME TO ALIGN CARTRIDGES -WHICH I HAVE NEW INK IN IT AND IT WONT LET ME DO ANYTHING BUT ALIGN CARTRIDGES AND WASTE PAPER DOING IT - I DO RECALL UNPLUGGING THE 5610 FROM THE POWER STRIP DID I DAMAGE IT COMPLETELY - WHAT DO I DO

    After almost 16 months of fine service, I all of sudden got this scanner error, asking me to recylce power and try again. After trying all of the reset options and printing numerous alignment pages without being able to scan to align the printer cartridges, I am resolved to the fact that I must purchase a new all in one!

BAD SCANNER ASSEMBLY

It's a common problem. It's uneconomical to get it repaired.

All my scans have a fine white line running down


This happens due to the failure of one of the "Detectors" inside the "Scan Head" They have a strip of these sensors all next too each other laid across the width of the scanner platen. Unfortunately there is not a lot to be done.

No scanning option in my HP office jet 5610 All in One


I had the same problem for months. I couldn't solve it but found a work around. Place the document to scan in the scanner.

Open MS Paint (Start/Programs/Accessories/Paint). Click on File in the menu bar, then from Scanner or Camera. It scans!

My Office Jet 7310xi scanner failure


Does it scan from either the doc feeder or from the flatbed itself?
Can you COPY a page?

Are you using the buttons on the printer, or do you work from HP director?

Scanner failure, while booting up, blocks all other functions.


no you can not disable your scanner
you ust have to repair your scanner
if you have any warranty then go for it
or visit any technical person who can check cables and scanning tube of your scanner

HP OFFICEJET 5610V No scan options


If you get the error while trying to scan with your HP 5610v All-In-One, the easy way to scan from your printer is to click on start, go to Paint and then File, the option "From Scanner or Camera" will come up.. click there and poof - you can scan anything you want and save it where you want... Problem solved!! good luck!!!

I would like to know how to scan a document and e-mail it on my HP Office Jet 5610 all-in0-one printer


Hello jzwakman,

HP does make this possible in several different ways. You can scan to OCR software (optical character recognition) or you can scan your document to an image. You may also scan directly to e-mail.

To do this, you will need to become familiar w/ the HP Director Software and w/ managing your scanning from the All-In-One itself.
