Expert Mouse scrolling problem

My scrolling ring is jumpy and sometimes doesn't even work.
When I scroll, sometimes the page stops scrolling and jumps up and down in one line steps. It might then start scrolling normally again and then get stuck again.

I've tried this specific mouse on several computers, Macs ad PC's, and this problem happens on all of them, so this is definitely not a software problem. Moreover, I have a second Expert Mouse and this problem does not occur with it. This means that there's something physically wrong with this specific Expert Mouse.

Obviously I need to open it up and clean it a bit.
Does anybody know how to open this thing? There seem to be no screws at all - it's all Chinese plastic **** and I don't want to break it.

Thanks!

I have the same problem running under win7 64 bit, I have just pulled apart my expert mouse\trackball to clean it and found that the scroll ring works by using a little infrared diode ... so no cleaning required ...

the screws for the base are located under the little rubber feet.

So I think the problem may be more related to drivers\software...
at the moment I cant find a win 64bit driver or mouse works application anywhere

My scroll wheel skips, jumps, scrolls backward or on its own. Can I fix it?

Take the roller ball out of the bottom of your mouse if it's the older style and clean the dirt and dust of the roller wheels with a q tip and alcohol. If it is an optical mouse try putting a piece of white paper under it when you use it this may help. If not it is time for a new one.

The page scrolls up and down - somtimes even jumps up and down - when the cursor is nowhere near the right hand of the screen where the vertical scroll bar is.

It is possible you might have picked up a virus, or a bad device driver. Try a system restore taking the computer back in time before this happened, may resolve the issue.

No sound on incomming calls

Hi,why it does not ring out is because, the ringer is damaged..and it needs replacement. Before you replace it,you can clean up where the ringer is,there might be dirt stopping it to work. But you have to unscrew the phone to see where the ringer is.

Please if you have no knowledge about the phone, you can contact a skillful personnel for assistance.

Before that you can trythe below step, might just be a setting problem.

1. Go to Menu > Settings > Profiles
2. Select Profile and then Select General.
3. After selecting General you will be given 3 options (Activate, Personalize, Timed)
4. Select Personalize.
5. In the Incoming Call Alert field, select Ringing.
6. In the Ringing Tone field, select your favorite ring tone.
7. Scroll down, (push down button) the next field would be Ringing Volume. For now select the max.
8. Scroll down to the Vibrating Alert field and set it to Off.
9. Scroll further down thill the very last field where it says Alert For, select All Calls for this field.
10. Save your modifications.
11. Activate the profile and see if it works now.

Only and only If it doesn't work, it may be due to software corruption.
In that case reset your phone to the factory default settings by going to:
Menu > Settings > Press UP button.
Select Restore Factory Sett. give your Security Code (default = 12345) and viola.
(Make backup of your messages ad contacts before attempting this)

Have a nice day.

When i scroll up and down the page is wavey

If for wavy you mean that it is very jumpy as you scroll, not smooth, then it is a classic sign of the incorrect driver for your video card.

Screen jumps up / down, scroll wheel not working

My guess is that the scroll-wheel is being pushed down, even when you don't think that you are touching it. It might be "locking" in the "down" position, thus causing it _not_ to work when you do try to scroll.

Scroll mouse is choppy when I am trying to scroll. It sometimes even goes back up. Very irritating.

Try going into your Control Panel, go into the Mouse controls, and change the wheel scroll settings. There's a "lines to scroll" option that determines how much or little the wheel moves the page. Try changing this number up or down and see if the problem gets any better. Does the scroll wheel feel OK? is it sticky or hard to turn? is it smooth and loose?
