Question about Philips 2252 Twin Cordless Phone

Onetel OT2500 - anyone know how to turn answer-phone on?

I have lost my booklet for the Onetel OT2500, and can't remember how to turn the answer-phone on!

    Thanks for that Fozzy279! Have done all that, and it works like you say, but still says when someone calls that they cannot leave a message!

Press the c/Mute button (Has a tape logo on it) It should say either TAD ON or TAD OFF - presumably yours says TAD OFF!! Press number 8 to switch between TAD ON & TAD OFF.... If Answer is on, you'll hear a double beep and the orange message light will come on.

    There's another possibility...
    There are two Answering "modes" - Answer and Record Mode and Answer Only Mode... Sounds like your stuck in Answer Only mode!!

    To select Answer and record mode, Press c/Mute to access the Ans. Machine.
    Press 7, then 1. AR MODE1 should be displayed and you should hear a tone
    TAD ON is displayed
    Press and hold c/Mute to return to standby...

    Should you want to got back to answer only mode, it's 7 then 2 instead of 7 then 1 above.

Hi, had similar trouble. You need to go the base station and hold down the find handset button for 5 seconds so it flashes and then go through the menu process to register. you will need to type the pin for the base usually 0000 or 1234.

If you have the little `key` icon on the phone then

Press OK followed by * to unlock the phone.

The same applies to lock it.

Onetel OT100 Trio

If you havent sorted it yet - I have a handbook here for a onetel sirius 2000 - it says:

1 press OK on the phone
2 scroll < or > to flashing handset symbol
3 press OK again
4 Press & hold the button on the base station until a beep is heard about 2 secs
5 enter the base PIN at the handset - default 0000
6 press OK again - if successful you will hear a tone and the handset name and number will be displayed. If unsuccessful then Not Reg will be displayed.
