Some phones are better than others with reception of signal due to the design of the "antenna" in the phone. Also some cell phone companies have really great service while others lack because they may have less towers.

For example there are 4 phones on my family plan, we all have different phones and some of them dont do so hot on reception, as mine is great, i can even talk on the cell in the elevator.

I know that for some phones there may be 1 or two things you can try. Your best bet is to call your provider and let them know your having problems, they may have a suggestion for the combination of their signal and your phone on what you can try.

More often than not your stuck with what youve got, I know this is not what you want to hear but check with your provider..

Software reinstalled on G600 but now I can hardly get any signal

the signal problem is not relevant to the software. it is mostly with the circuitry, the ic that deals with it.

go to the repair shop again and claim the problem...
