Jenn-Air JDR8895 dual fuel--ignitors won't work after flood

A washing machine hose split upstairsw and water drained through the ceiling into my kitchen. Among other things, the stovetop filled up of water---I mopped it up within minutes and left everything to finish drying overnight. Now the ignitors won't ignite. None of them,
Then I lit the burners with a match, and left them on low for several minutes to dry. Still no clicking sound.
Is there some central fuse for these that may have to be replaced? The electric ovens all are fine and everything seems dry now.

Thanks! Is this a job for an electrician or a gas man? Where can one buy replacment ignitors--I found a Jenn-Air parts website but are they something a repair person would be able to get easily? Hope you can help a little more--I am NOT very handy (the plumber just left).

Hi your ignitors wont last long, they are similar to a fuse, you should be able to change the ignitor and if it still does not ignite look to see the space of the ignitor and try shorten it.

Washing machine flooded room

Wild guess, your supply hoses split, or the discharge hose split, or came out of the drain pipe, or not likely, the seal between transmission and tub has broken. Even more rare is the bottom of tub has rusted and failed, thus won't hold water anymore. How old is the machine? Maybe time to look for a gently used replacement machine.

My washer flooded the room

Check the Drain hose has not come adrift.
check for a split in the doorseal or come away. These need to be done by an engineer: - Check internal hoses have not split or come away, hole in drum (unusual) If it is a sudden flood it may just be a fill valve is jammed open. Turn taps off and call an engineer to replce it.

Kenmore washing machine 2 year old is now flooding my floor every 20 loads happiend 4 times. Please help.

Is the water flooding coming from the top of the washing machine?
Check the drain pipe in the back to see that it's not loose. Also, look inside the drain pipe and make sure there is no algae. Algae might cause low flow through the drain pipe and it will overflow.

Hope this helps.

Washing machine won't drain

When your washing machine won't drain, it could be as simple as a kinked hose or as complicated as a faulty impeller on the pump. Overloading your washing machine can cause items to be swept into the space between the inner and outer tub, leading to clogs in the drain hose or pump. These clogs may be the reason for why your washing machine won't drain. Here are some steps to help you determine the problem and solution:

1. Pinched hose: Is the drain hose at the back of the washer been flattened or twisted in any area? A pinched hose could prevent the water from draining thoroughly. Gently straighten the hose, and make sure there is sufficient room between the back of the washing machine and the wall to prevent a repeat of the problem.

2. Clogged drain hose or pump:
Does the drum spin normally, but the washing machine won't drain the water? Sometimes a piece of clothing, money, fabric or other debris gets into the water between the inner and outer tub. It may then make its way into a drain hose or even into the pump itself. The farther into the machinery a clog goes, the trickier it can be to remove. Call a repair professional for help.

3. Faulty timer: Does your machine fill with water and begin agitating, but the cycle never advances far enough to allow the water to drain? The timer that controls the cycles may be broken. Arrange for washing machine repair service.

4. Worn or loose belts: Are clothes still soaked at the end of a wash, even though the washing machine appears to go through the spin and drain cycles? The timer that controls the cycles may be broken. This is a job for the pros.

5. Faulty or jammed internal impeller on pump: When the spin cycle starts, do you hear a humming noise? The internal impeller that moves the water through the drain pump may be faulty or jammed. A grinding or grating sound is almost always an indication of a coin, button or other object colliding with the impeller. Have a washing machine repair expert determine if the impeller is jammed and can be cleared, or if the pump needs to be replaced.

6. Pump failure: Is your washing machine more than 7 years old? Your pump may simply have worn out. Even if it sounds as though it is running, the pump may not be working well enough to draw the water out of the machine. Replacement parts for pumps are generally unavailable. A new pump may be necessary.

Our Jenn Air washer does not drain water in tub. I am trying to check the drain filter to see if it is clogged but do not know where it is located.

Check that the discharge hose is not crimped/smashed by the washer first (should be in the back but twords the top). The timer may have run out so you will have to start it from the begunning (don't worry it will not overfill it is like your toilet tank it has a float to stop it).
