I cant find anything on the powermatic tool that you listed, but is this something recent? Look at the nameplate on the machine and if it a large unit it would probably say around 15-20 amps but to start the unit sometimes it pulls more than the listed rating and could be causing your problem. Check the outlet that you have it plugged into, is there anything else online with this that would draw a lot of current when starting e.g. freezer. If you can provide me with some more data I will check other floor sanders and see what I can come up with.

I have a 1988 suzuki lt250r recently rebuilt i cant get it to start off the kick but can pull it behind another quad and pop start it. any recomendations?

The battery is probably weak. Not enough juice is created by kicking it over. A kick start is only as good as the battery charge. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

I have a Powermatic 66 that trips breaker

Either it has a problem with a blade brake or the motor is siezing. Or the is a wiring problem. With the unit unplugged check and see if you can turn the blade by hand, if not the motor is the problem. If it does you could still have a motor problem by it drawing to much amperage or the is a wiring problem.

When I push the start button it will not turn on got power to dryer

The start button goes directly to the motor to energize the start winding until the centrifugal switch in the motor energizes the run winding.

If the motor is not trying to start, I would next test the start switch & related connections.

It wont start turn key dash lights up nothing happens

sounds like a dead battery to start with. Not even enough juice in the battery to energize the solenoid / brake interlock to get it out of PARK. Hope this helps

Yz 250 wont kickstart

Hi!
You obviously look after your machine and very sensible when laying up, however as you are probably aware 2 strokes rely heavily on compression, A. to produce excellent combustion and B. to draw fuel into the chamber. So when you try kick starting you can't get enough revolutions to draw the correct amount of fuel into the cylinder, where as you push start you constantly turn over the engine increasing compression slightly and bingo it fires.
Can you remember how when kick starting it before this problem the feel on resistance when kicking over? has it now become a lot easier? if so you possibly have worn or broken compression piston rings.
A compression test will reveal this, I hope this sorts your query?
Press the Blue button please for my FREE effort,
Thank You!

Won,t start, acts like no juice is going to starter w/charged bat

You need to have your Battery Checked. Common Symtom of an Early Failing Battery. Not enough Cold Cranking Amps Left to Kick it over.

Sander failure when using honda generator

If you are using a 220 volt 4 hp floor sander, which is 95% of all floor sanders. you CANNOT use a generator less than a 25KV, which is about the size of a van. All Floor sanders draw over 80 amps at start up and during floor sanding all sanders run around 25 amps. If your motor is a Capactor style motor you can do detrimental damage to the motor. Many of my customers have done it in the past.
