Question about Powermatic Tools & Hardware - Others
Powermatic modle 30 floor sander kicks out when the start button is pressed. Acts like it is drawing to much juice when started
I cant find anything on the powermatic tool that you listed, but is this something recent? Look at the nameplate on the machine and if it a large unit it would probably say around 15-20 amps but to start the unit sometimes it pulls more than the listed rating and could be causing your problem. Check the outlet that you have it plugged into, is there anything else online with this that would draw a lot of current when starting e.g. freezer. If you can provide me with some more data I will check other floor sanders and see what I can come up with.
