Question about Digital Audio DA8012 12" Subwoofer Car Speaker

1 Answer

Negative and Positive markings missing on car stereo speakers one connector requires a larger clip than the other, can this make it possible to tell if one or the other is a pos or neg connection. If so tell me which one is what. With Kind regards from James.

The speakers have to be polorized. If you take a small battery and put the negative to one terminal and the positive to the other you will see the speaker push out or pull in. Just tap the battery connection to the speaker. The one you see the positive of the battery push the speaker out will be your positive side or terminal. Make sure you mark a + sign on all the speakers to get uniform polarization.

If you can help me i need to know if it is possible to wire a amp into a 2002 landcrusier stock headunit cheers

yes, there is an amp turn-on wire from the head unit (black with a red stripe). You will need to add a power wire and fuse from the fuse box to run the amp. You can use the speaker outputs as inputs to the amp, depending on what you are trying to do. Please let me know if you need more help, and identify the amp model as well as the speakers you will connect.

Hi people, so i want to install a aftermarket stereo in my 83 caddy sedan deville but i dont get the wires can somebody tell me do i need to use all the wires that the caddy has to put a after market...

Hi, please check to see if your colors match the ones below. If yes, then connect them to the aftermarket colors shown next. Assuming your factory installation has only four speakers, there should not be a lot of wires left over.

Which connections is the negative on these

most car stereo speakers have two connectors, one thinner and one wider. the wider one is typically the positive connection. to verify this, take a small 1.5v battery, and hold a wire to the negative and positive sides (it's easiest to use a battery case available at many electronic stores), connect the negative wire to the smaller connector, and tap the positive wire to the wider connector. if the speaker pops outward, then the thinner connector is the negative connector.

Car stereo need only POSITIVE & NEGATIVE wirings look the ground sign for negative, mostly body ground or negative supply. Then trace the positive line mostly series a fuse and fuse holder.
