Your printer sliding mechanism is stuck. ask someone to do this for you if you are not sure what you are doing.

Turn of the printer.
Slide the cartridge to the left (slightly), if you find ink residue, clean it.
Check for any paper or parts/spring broken.
Return the cartridge to the right most and turn on your printer.

The cartridge should move freely this time.

Hope this helps, please rate.

I have a canon i250 which does not print. The orange light flashed 5 times and then goes back to green. Thanks for your help.

The orange light flashes 5 times indicates that the printhead is not there. Obviously it is (I hope). Turn the power off and remove and refit the head. If it still does not work then the head is most probably faulty and requires replacing.

Good luck.

Canon i250. Instructions on this website solved the problem of flashing green and orange lights, but now the black won't print. Changed ink cartridges, but still no print. Did a diagnostic nozzle check, and the black DID print. What do I do now?
