I am re-posting the following answer from a similar question..
Connect to the charger just long enough for the screen to power on, then immediately disconnect the charger before it goes into charging mode. . -- It should power up and be ready for use.in a couple seconds.
have found that only when the battery gets completely drained, that the
Gzone Rock often will not power back up on it's own, even though the
battery has been successfully recharged.
By connecting the to the
charger it will initiate the boot-up of the phone - but you must remove
it before it displays the charging screen again, otherwise it still
won't come on and boot.
You need to remove the battery and check it with some other phone. Otherwise check to see if there is a problem with the charger by charging another phone. Then you can find out the probleem is in which device.
If the battery will not chage it needs to be replaced. You can do this yourself if you are technically inclined. http://www.ifixit.com/iPhone-Parts/iPhone-3G-Replacement-Battery/IF137-002-1
If the phone is under one year old or if you purchased an AppleCare Proteciotn play you may be covered. Call Apple at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) and talk to an Advisor about your options.
