How can I download music from computer to Mp3 player

1. Get on Computer 2. Plug in USB cord in the USB slot on the main computer. 3. Open My Computer and it should say on the side there is a USB device or the type of MP3 players name. 4. Open up another My Computer window. 5. Goto the location your music files are located and make sure both windows are visible on the screen. 6. Drag your music files to your MP3's music file section. Sometimes the music files wont work so first try the WMA (windows media audio) file first. If the WMA files dont work on your MP3, convert them to MP3.

I want to remove existing music

You cannot delete existing mp3 files/directories directly from the player but it is possible from the computer. Connect your mp3 player to a PC using the USB cable. It should become visible as a mounted removable drive.

If you can't see it, go to settings -> system and switch the UMS mode at the bottom of the list so it can become visible.

You should be able to see the drive in windows explorer and on Windows, you may even be asked as the drive connects if you want to view files,

Simply go to the directory structure, click through to music and delete files/folders that you no longer want. You can copy over new files from wherever you store your music, too. It's the same connection/viewing process.

Connect your mp3 player to your computer and navigate to My Computer. If detected, your mp3 player should be visible. Click on the player's icon and search for the music folder.

You may also use a media program such as iTunes or Windows Media Player to browse / find your music.

I have copied some files it is not visible in music folder

You should have your Sansa player set to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) when you are using it with any of the supported subscription music services. The main purpose of MTP is to transfer media files to/from players, with support for special DRM-, protected, or restricted music, video content. If you put files on the player when in the MSC mode you can not see them in the MTP mode and Vice -a -versa. See this tip posted here on this site, it will explane more about the Modes you can use with your player. Solve your MP3 Player Connection Problem.

File format not supported

Sounds like the tracks you are trying to play are DRM protected. This usually causes the "File format not supported" error.

If you are downloading these files from the internet, then you'll have to look elsewhere for files.

If you are ripping your own CDs to .MP3 or .WMA with Windows Media Player, then you need to change a setting in Windows Media Player.

Open Windows Media Player. If visible, click on "Tools" then options. If the menus are not visible, right-click at the top of the Media Player Window, then select "Tools" and click options.

Click on the "Rip CD" or "Rip Music" tab (depending on version).

Remove the tick from the box next to "Copy Protect Music" (or similar)

This will stop DRM protection on any further tracks ripped.

You will need to rip any DRM tracks again.
