Question about Toshiba Satellite A105-S4034 Notebook

2 Answers

AntiViris 360 was downloaded on my computer. It's one of those programs if you don't buy it, it will mess up ya computer. I didn't know want to buy. I tried just about everything is find it to get it off my computer. Even Add and Remove Programs did even have it listed. I tried to use the recovery disc. It's kept giving me an error (ERROR: 10E7160017). Then I decided to delete everything on my Hard Drive. Well, that took 9 hours, lol. Anyways, there's nothing on the HD. I tried the out of box state again. Same error. I'm starting to think my HD has crashed

SOURCE: Recovery Disc will not work

That's terrible. The right soution should be to try Ashampoo Uninstaller or similar software that gets off EVERY BIT of unwanted software. Use function "Install new applications". It asks for setup.exe, install.exe or similar executable file, that runs Antivirus 360 installer. Point to it. After all the installations completes, "Ashampoo Uninstaller" logs the installation. Now uninstall the unwanted program using "Uninstall logged programs". That's it!
If you really damaged your operating system, do buckup of your important data and reinstall OS

Hi Jack, thanks for contacting me to help you. Well, I have few questions since you didn't specify anything in detail; What is the operating system installed on your computer? e.g. Windows xp or Windows vista or Windows 7.... What antivirus program is installed on your computer?
Still have questions, but let's proceed anyway. I don't think this it will be a good idea to set up remote connection and most of all, it looks like we are in different time zones (I am in India).
Please follow the instructions given below:
Hardware; For hardware issues, please try to install another mouse on the same system and check whether the same problem persists or not.
If your mouse has a driver, please uninstall and reinstall it.
I would also suggest you to place the mouse on different mouse pads, never place on table or on a plastic type surface. This is to verify that there's no hardware issues.
Software/Virus;It would be a pleasure if you could let me know when and how it happened. In most cases, it hardware issue, but in rare cases, viruses cause this problem. Make sure to scan your computer using different types of antiviruses. But remember not to install multiple antivirus programs at a time. If you've finished scanning with Avira and the problem persists, then uninstall it and then again download and install Avast. Download Links are given below. Malwarebytes is also a recommended program for the same problem. I hope you can still install programs or run .exe files.
I would suggest you to scan your whole drives/computer in Safe Mode. With Avast you can even Scan in Boot Mode means during startup...
The following are the download Links..
Avira FREE
Avast FREE
Malwarebytes FREE

Good Luck.
Let me know if you need further help..
Note: All Programs I've mentioned are Free Versions and of course approved softwares, once installed, don't forget to update before running the scans.
Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a G56-122US Notebook laptop and it is moving real slow and I think I need to delete my cache but don't know how to do that on here. I'm not sure that is the problem. Can you please help...

Hi,

Download a program called CCleaner. It will delete temporary files from your computer and other things as well which will help speed up the computer. You can also try Tuneup Utilities which is another program to optimize your computer. Click here to read my tech article on how to speed up your computer which also has the links to download both programs.

Let me know if you have any questions.

My laptop is a toshiba .. this is the problem i was surfing the then suddenly a christmas song suddenly played but the song of it so annoying .. and the ackward part is i didn't have a christmas song...

It could be playing from the site you were surfing. Try surfing again on the website you were accessing when you heard that song. If you hear it again from there, then it is not a virus.

Also make a full virus scan of your system just to be sure.

Thanks for using fixya!

Need to reboot to an older time frame

Hello,

Please start the system in safe mode and then try to restore it. If not working then start in safe mode in command prompt and after booting type following commands:
cd windows
cd system32
cd restore
rstrui.exe

And you will be getting the restore wizard and you may restore the system to a back date.
If all of above are not working then registryedition will be needed.

Thanks

I have virus 360 on and it has disabled restore and rebOOT.I have tried evrything to get it off and not having much luck.`HELP`

Okay, be vary, vary careful. This can really F up your computer. If I were you, I would back up all of the data from the computer before removing this antivirus. You can also buy programs that can scan and remove it for you. Like: SpyHunter.
Doing it yourself,
  1. Stop Antivirus processes
  2. Find and then delete files of Antivirus 360
  3. Remove Antivirus 360 registeries.
Put AVG Free 8.0 on your computer. It is free and works great. While AVG is in your computer, it can pick up and remove whatever harm is done by Antivirus 360.
There is other ways to take it out but, this should only be done by experts.
Let me know what happens.

VERY SLOW..AND some internet not working!

One of the first things to do is download a program called "Malware Bytes" (Google it). Install and run the scanner/cleaner to wipe any nasties off of the machine. You may find that after running this program many of the woes you've described magically go away (especially the slow operation)...
