I'm using D780 for last 6 months and happy with its performance! Currently my phone memory is full and hence I've added a 2 GD memory card into it. After loading 10 songs into it, I can only see 7 of them when I'm going to 'Music' --> 'playlist' --> 'Add Music from - Memory Card'. Rest 3 music files are not displayed.
But when I'm connecting the phone to my computer and using PC Studio while the phone is in 'Mass Storage mode', I can see/play those files which are not shown in the phone.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

The write on the site : 5. I'm
sure my THUMP is fully charged, so why doesn't it play music?
Make sure the volume is not set too low to hear.
Make sure there are song files stored on THUMP.
Connect THUMP to your computer
and open the
folder that shows the contents
of the THUMP
Make sure you have the correct music file formats
loaded into the THUMP memory.
plays MP3, WMA and WAV file
formats. No other
music file formats are supported
at this time.
Make sure the WMA music files you are trying
to play are not protected by
DRM. (See below
for more information on DRM.)
If the song files
are protected by DRM, you need
to download the
DRM Enabled Utility found at www.oakley.com/thump.
6. Why can't I get a full six hours of song
play time out of THUMP?
Many things affect play time, including the
volume level, file compression and
format. Also, lithium ion polymer
lose their charge while not in use.
are also susceptible to temperature.
though they represent the best
lithium ion batteries do not
in high heat.
7. Is it best to completely drain the THUMP
battery before recharging?
makes no difference. Lithium ion
have no "memory effect" like older
technologies such as nickel cadmium,
so you can
charge them at any time - even when
not fully discharged.
It contains any media file that is not supported by your mobile.. so check for the file and remove that file then update the card, your phone will start playing songs..mind it that file may not be visible to you directly, so connect it to pc and then check.

mass storage of samsung sgh d780 can not be active asyou want to transfer music from pc to my mobile as the software aplication is installed improperly,or memory is full, there might be infection in your system that isnot allowing the sync try running malawarebytes from www.download.com
I think, you have tried an online firmware update. Please let it finish. Memory full does not always means the storage is full. At technical world, memory actually means the Ram. You must not keep open many programs. Please try closing them to get free memory.
i have that kind of problem on my n73, it alway flashes memory full and i cannot recieve any sms, i formated my n73 using the dialkey*3 procedure and after reformating it cleared my phone memory, of courese u have to back up all important data, formating your phone will erase everything.
Hi By default, it may go to the phone memory unless it asked you where you want to put your download file. If they don't ask then it will save your file into your phone memory by default. go to Music -->Audio or Music or scrol down to Memory Card. You need to format your memory card first when you first insert it into your phone then after that you can perform the downloading so you will b able to see where the download file goes. Good Luck
