Question about Philips Magnavox DVD/VCR Dual Player
I have a magnavox dvd/vcr combo and everytime i turn it on it turns its self off within a few seconds. im pretty good at fixing things but this one is new for me. i have already taken it apart and found the ir diode bulb but i need to know how to take it out without damaging anything.
Get a very small hemostat, or heat sink clamp and clip it onto the wires coming out of the diode, batween the diode and the board. Use a small soldering pencil so you don't generate too much heat and use solder remover braid or a ****** to remove the solder. When you replace it, use the clamp again to protect the new one and make sure the polarity is the same or it won't work at all.
