My barcaode value should read AHLZZZSN12345-01 ,but on scanning it shows an additional character ie ,AHLZZZSN12345-015 . Also at times the '-' is replaced by special character such as '$'. So the value after scanning is got as AHLZZZSN12345$01N etc. Please help by providing a work around. Thanks in advance.

Try opening the csv file in a text editor like Notepad++ and see if there are any special characters present in the file that might normally be invisible. There is a setting to see special characters (View > Show Symbol > Show all characters).
It looks like you might have additional carriage return or linefeed characters. You could try exporting your records again and see if the csv's match.
The most common special characters can be inserted by pressing the 'Chr' key and selecting the one you want from the pop-up grid.
If there are rarer characters that you need, note that ANY Unicode character can be inserted by simply holding down 'Ctrl' and typing the number of the character concerned - it will appear at the current cursos position.
Without knowing your application or scanner programming I can't be certain but it sounds like the scanner may be reading information on the code that you want parsed out. Check with whomever labels the units to find out exactly what is in the barcode (it's possible the "35 S " is not encoded) and then determine what you need to send to the program you are scanning the information in to. The scanner can be programed to pass along only specific characters that were scanned (i.e. the 13048) and to pre-pend or append additional characters as well (i.e. 35 S ). You'll need the scanner's programming manual to do that. Here's a link to the scanner's programming manual. data types are variables which is used to store values in to the memory for ex: numbers can be stored in the for of integers(int), alphabets and special characters can be storerd as characters(char), date can be stored as date format(date) etc.,
these are called data types:
you are probably reading to a inteligent software package like Excell, which sees the inputted data as a number (so ignores leading zeros) you need to specify to the sytem that the incoming numbers are TEXT not numbers.
