Hey Toni
U know if u are using proxy?
if u are go to Funktions -> Internet Settings -> Connections -> Lan Settings, and see i there is a checkmark in the proxyserver boxes...

if not, check your startup site, know it sounds wird, but fixed alot of problems with Internet Startup just by changing the startup site.
Funktions -> General, and change the startup site to or something else...

please reply if it works

Best regards

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hello dj_itachi7
Maybe it's only the electronic connection inside the box of your drive that is damaged . The USB connection is dead but you still seem to have power .
I would try to open the box ( will be lost ) and put the drive in another USB external box or connect the drive straight inside your pc if it is a desktop , using the IDE or Sata connection of the motherboard .

I am unable to connect to the internet. I am asked for a password. where do I find this. The unit is an archos 7 home tablet

first you must have an ISP Internet Service provider contract which will provide you with a modem and leads you can choose either a dial up,usb,or an ethernet connection to connect to the internet or if you have a laptop you can choose a wireless usb modem which can work on a desktop aswell once you recieve the modem just insert the disk provided and follow the prompts to set up your new internet connection
during the setup process you will be asked for a password I suggest you make a log of all pass words used outside of your computer incase of memory lapses

you might have put in the wrong password or user id check to make sure you have put these in correctly first make sure the caps lock is on/off what ever applies to your user and password id that you provided to your ISP
make sure your routers settings are correct ie:password user name, firewall settings to allow your internet to connect also test the lead/s whether usb or ethernet you might check your modem first to make sure that you are getting a connection
last resort ring your ISP internet sevice provider get them to check your modem for internet access online
hope this helps

Hi there, so I pulled a Toshiba MK2006GAL out of my Creative Zen, and I got myself a All-in-One USB Card Reader that has a port that fits right for the Toshiba MK2006GAL HD. Now I connect to my ACER...

Although your drive:

physically fits into one of the slots in that Card Reader, it is not making any "electronic" connections, i.e,. no power is reaching the Toshiba, and no "data" cable is connected from the Toshiba to the Card Reader.

Similarly, although you can fill your automobile's gas-tank with water, there still is a fundamental "incompatibility" to be overcome.

Yes, Windows is recognizing that you connected a USB device into a USB port on your computer, but that's all that has happened, from Windows "point-of-view".

Iam unable to sighn in to myspace

Although this question is not about hard drives, I can point you in the right direction. Myspace is a web site run and operated by a private company. Only they can unlock you and reset your password. From their Faq page,
To retrieve your password, here's what you do:
  1. click Forgot your password?
  2. type in your email address (the one you used to sign up for MySpace) and click Find
  3. you will get an email from MySpace with your password!
  4. If you don't receive the email from MySpace, here's what you do:
  5. open your spam folder/junk mail
  6. check to make sure your spam filter allows emails from MySpace
  7. if you're not sure what email address you used to sign up for MySpace, click here
  8. if you're still unable to retrieve your password, Contact MySpace (on the right), give us your Friend ID and email address (the one you use to log into MySpace) and we'll check it out for you!

Crossfire 160gb external hard drive.

If the drive was formatted in a newer windows OS and it is the NTFS file system, the Mac OS will only have read access. You can check this by plugging it in and checking the properties. To solve this you can copy your stuff off and reformat in the FAT32 format, you will only lose the security features that NTFS offers.

Unable to install IOMEGA HDD on Vista Home Premium

Vista may require drivers that are not preinstalled. If the drive clearly works on one machine, but not another, its safe to pressume its not the drive. On the VISTA machine, go to the Iomega site and download the driver for vista or usb or whatnot.
